Anger filled me with it's toxicity, and I couldn't do anything about it. As hard as I desperately tried, I couldn't break out of these stupid ropes. I especially couldn't get anything done with this stupid helmet on my head. It seems to block my brain from doing something, but I can hardly think straight.

I don't know how long I've been trapped in this hell hole, but it's certainly been long enough to make me crazy. Every once in awhile, brown suit man pops in and brings me food (which I usually decline, since the only way I can eat it is if he feeds it to me), checks my ropes, all while I give him the silent treatment accompanied with a glare. Something seems strangely off about him. He walks around like he knows something I don't. Which I'm sure he does, but it still annoys the crap out of me. Not like I could break free anyway with this damn helmet turning my brain to shit.

Today was an especially frustrating day, since he wore a particularly smug look on his stupid little face. I couldn't take it anymore. He offered me a sandwich, but I decline once again. My stomach yells at me for my foolish decision, however.

"You're gonna have to eat eventually, Nova. It's been nearly a week. You can't possibly be this stubborn."

Oh but I am.

I say nothing.

"Look. I'm not a bad guy, alright? I'm really just trying to help you."

"Help me from what? Myself?" I couldn't help but stay silent another second longer. I mentally slap myself. "When are you gonna do the surgery anyway? I thought you were supposed to do it the day after I arrived?" I blurt. I figure I might as well continue since I've already started talking.

"We were going to begin the surgery sooner, but unexpected delays have occurred."

Unexpected delays, huh? Wonder what could've happened.

"What is this helmet? What is it doing to me?"

He sighs, looking like he's debating on telling me the truth. "It's weakening your brain waves, so you can't use your powers."

"So you're turning my brain to mush," I snap.

"Not exactly," He says slowly. "Anyway, I've said too much. Are you sure you don't the sandwich? Last call."

"I'm sure," I mumble bitterly.

"'Til tomorrow, then," He says. He turns out the light and locks the door behind him. As usual.

I wonder what could've happened to cause the delays.

Nina could sense something wasn't right. By the time she had woken up, she sensed trouble. She noticed Nova was missing, and her heart dropped in fear. She made her way to Clove, and shook her gently to wake her.

"Mmm," She mumbled sleepily.

"Clove, wake up," Nina whispered harshly. "Nova's missing."

That was enough for Clove to snap out of her tired daze. "What? Where did she go?"

"I don't know," Nina said, a worried expression etched on her face.

By this point Clove was wide awake. The sky was still dark, and the night had an eerie feeling to it. Clove noticed something else wasn't right.

"Nina," She whispered. Her eyes wide with fear. "Angel's missing too."

Nina's stomach dropped. She couldn't help but think the absence of them both had something to do with one another. Nina could always sense something strange about Angel. She could never read her emotions, her brain was like a brick wall. She'd never come about someone like that before, and that worried her. She thought maybe it was because Angel had mind powers of her own. Now that Nova was missing, she knew Angel had something to do with it.
