Being an indigo child is not something that should be idealized. Because although it has many upsides, indigo children can and most often will have many problems with themselves, imperfections that they see within themselves that upset them.

1. Shifting Purposes
Indigo children are driven to make a change in the world, to challenge society and voice their opinions on the many flaws of society. When they complete their missions, the must shift their life purpose and find something else to live for. If they can't do that or their purpose is thwarted or forgotten, they often get devastated and drastically turn in on themselves.

2. Depression
The worst thing for an indigo child is to be ignored or mocked, as they are nearly always superior and their perception is brilliant. They are able to foresee many problems and lead great changes in the world. But when they are ignored, mocked, unable to achieve their goals, they turn on themselves and often begin harboring a deep, severe depression that leads many to suicide, self torture, self harm, and addiction.

3. Their Integrity
Indigo children are most well known for their abundant integrity. They are able to tell when others are being untrue although when pressured, they can struggle to explain why. When doubted or told off, they can turn on themselves

4. Determination and Sensitivity
Although indigos are very driven, that positive aspect can also become a negative aspect when they fail to meet their own goals. Then they can turn in on themselves and criticize themselves for not being good enough. Also, even though they are strong and determined to reach their goals, any little act to stop them caused by someone, any little criticism someone makes on an indigos work can frustrate and upset the hell out of them and cause them to question themselves and their work.
