The Red Keep, King's Landing, THE CROWNLANDS

"SHE CAPTURED TYRION?" Cersei asked for the second time, still in disbelief. Athena nodded, putting her cup of tea at the table. The Queen stopped pacing and sat in chair across her. "How do you know this?"

"One of the men in his service sent notice. Although, I believe it'll be a common knowledge soon enough. Joffrey was right when he said that Northerners give themselves too much credit."

"How Jaime reacted?"

"He was furious. He went to search for Ned Stark."

"Perhaps this is a good thing."

"Cersei, as much as you don't like Tyrion, you can't just wish captivation on him."

"Please," she scoffed. "I wanted to say that this can further wedge the disagreement between Robert and Stark and we could finally get rid of them lot." Yes, find you an excuse, sister.

"I wouldn't rely heavily on that. Robert will only laugh on prospect of a Lannister being captured by a woman."

"He is my brother, and that's direct attack on the crown."

"Oh, it is. And any other man would do the right thing, but not our King. He hates that he's so indebt to Father that he's surrounded by us and he will find joy in this humiliation."

"He has to do something."

"He will demand for Tyrion to be released, that's for sure. Perhaps make Stark apologise to Father. I doubt there will be anything more." Cersei scoffed, and Athena continued carefully. "There is something else. Catelyn Stark is convinced that Tyrion was the one who had hand in Bran's attempted murder."

"Tyrion? That doesn't make any sense."

"Apparently, Baelish was the one who provided that information. I don't like that man, Cersei."

"Neither do I. But he serves his cause."

"He only serves himself."

"Yes. But right now, we are the one he depends on. I wouldn't worry about him too much."

They discussed on and on like sisters do to solve their common problem. Their quarrel had stopped for now, they were at war, things mattered most than a sisters' feud.

...

"Will you spare me when you take King's Landing?" Athena asked her good brother as she ate a fig from his fresh fruit bowl. The taste reminded her of her fostering in Highgarden to forge a friendship with Margaery and her brothers, Willas, Garlan and Loras. Or more importantly to learn and study under the watchful eyes of the Queen of Thorns herself.
