A Twist of Fate (Kamigami No Asobi)

Chapter 6

Tonight is the night of the ball and I'm freaking out. 'What if I mess up or faint?! man, why did I agree to this?!' Melissa then pops up on my bed. "Susaki, you'll do just fine. You have a wonderful voice. You shouldn't let your nerves get to you. Now, get changed and go out there and shine!" I giggled at Melissa's enthusiasm. 

"Alright, alright Just go so I can get dressed." Melissa gave me a nod and left the room. I took a deep breath and took out my dress for the ball.  It was a long ice blue dress that had on the chest area and frills at the hem. Around the waist was a silver colored ribbon that tied into a bow the back. After putting the dress on I slipped on my silver heels and started working on my hair. 

   I decided to curl most of my hair and leave my front side bangs straight. I then put my curled hair in pigtails. After that, I put on an ice blue diamond necklace. Once I finished getting ready I left my room.

Time skip~

As soon as I entered the ballroom all eyes were on me. I was starting to feel really uncomfortable.  "Ah, Susaki chan you look so beautiful!" Apollon said. 

"Oh, u-um thank you Apollon," I shyly replied. Apollon gently took my hand and led me to where everyone else was.  Once we got there we all laughed and joked around for a little. I was feeling slightly thirsty so I went over to the drink table. 

"You're looking rather beautiful tonight, kitten," someone whispered into my ear from behind. I turned around to find Loki smirking at me. 

"L-Loki san?" I stuttered as my face started to heat up. Loki chuckled at my reaction. 

"You're an interesting mortal. For some reason, I find myself attracted to you.", Loki muttered. 

"Huh?!" my ice blue orbs grew wide. "You're attracted to m-me?" My face turned a deep crimson. 

Loki leaned close to me and whispered: "That's what I just said, didn't I?" He then walked away, leaving me flustered and shocked.

"Miss Neku it's almost time for you to sing." a female spirit informed me.

 "Right...," I took a deep long breath to calm down and got ready to sing. Zeus gets up and speaks up to everyone. 

"Good evening everyone. I'd like to announce that tonight we have a special surprise for you all. Tonight Miss Susaki Neku will be singing for us." He then sits down and I begin to sing. The song I decided to sing was "We Wish" by Ayumi Hamasaki. With each note that left my lips, I could feel more eyes watching me in awe. I had never experienced such a thrilling feeling such as this one I'm feeling right now. 

Once the song ended everyone respectfully clapped. I politely bow and give everyone a closed eye smile. Soon everyone was back to doing their own thing. Apollon ran up to me and pulled me into a bone-crushing hug. 

"Susaki chan, you were amazing!" Apollon cheered 

"Eh Apollon you might want to let her go. I don't think she can breathe with you crushing her like that," Takeru sweat dropped as he looked at my small figure struggling to breathe. 

"Oh, sorry," Apollon apologized, letting me go. 

   When I received enough air back into my lungs I softly giggle. "It's alright Apollon san and thank you." After that Apollon went on and on about my performance, making me blush. I start to feel someone glaring at me, but I chose to ignore it.

Hello, everyone! Sorry I haven't updated this in a VERY long time. I guess you can say I just got stuck and gave up for a while. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, though I'd like to apologize to you all in advance. I may be making all the gods ooc. For that I'm sorry. Also when first started this I already had in mind who Susaki would end up with, but I'd like all of your input. Based on what I have so far, who do you want Susaki to end up with?
