Optimus could't help but smile as he laid there with the women he loved sound a sleep in his arm's in the early morning light that was coming through the window as his mind wandered he never thought that he would feel this happy again in his whole life since the last time he felt like this had been after they merged their sparks and it had been the first time he had let his control go those feelings he felt then would stay with him as long as he was alive no matter how deep he pushed them and he had pushed them down very deep during the war and even more so after he lost Elita-one and he believed he would't have those feelings for an other or be able to except an other sparkmate but he had been very wrong about that because here he was holding onto the women he had fallen in love with while she slept his smile grew as she shifted in her sleep and he wrapped his arm around her a little more tightly letting her know that he was still there and she even smiled a little in her sleep, he closed his eye's he was lucky to find a sparkmate before but to be lucky enough to find a second one was something he thought would never happen to him though as he thought about he could't help but chuckle a little wandering what Ratchet would say if he could see him now he most likely get an audio full for sleeping with a human but he did't care he loved her and noting would ever change that fact.

"you should be sleeping" Katelyn's voice made him jump a little and he turned his head and looked into hazel eye's and he could't help but wander how long she had been watching him for though she seemed to know what he was thinking and she gave a little smile "i'v only been awake for a bit also i could't help but watch as you seemed rather lost in thought so i did't want to startle you to much...though a guess i did sorry" she added.

"no need to be sorry Katelyn..and yes i was rather lost in thought like you said" he said with a slight chuckle to his voice.

"and what were you thinking about if you don't mind me asking" Katelyn said laying her head on his chest.

"about how happy i am though i never thought i would feel like this again" he said which made Katelyn shift and lean on her arm to look at him it was such a gentle look he knew she had a kind heart but he's never seen a soft look in her eye's like this before.

"you lost someone loved did't you?" she asked.

"i did yes a very long time ago" he said.

"what was her name?" Katelyn asked.

"..her name was Elita-One i knew her for a long time long before the war started, she was stunning, smart,brave,sweet and very strong and very stubborn at time's but it was because of those's thing's that i feel in love with her and over time she became my sparkmate ..and then i lost her"he said finding a lump had formed in his throat.

"what happened to her?" Katelyn asked even she had a lump in her throat when he said that and seeing the pain in his eye's.

"she died during the war .." was all he could get out.

"i'm so sorry Optimus..." Katelyn said.

"after she died it felt like a part of me went with her ..though as leader i had to push that along with my other feelings deep down ..to a point that i thought i would never feel them again but.." he said looking at her as he spoke cupping the side of her face"i was wrong about that because i fell in love with someone who could bring those feeling's back and who can shed tears for me even as i speak about the love i lost so long ago" he said using his thumb to brush a tear away"and it make's even happier to call her my sparkmate" he added.
