Sacrifice And Revenge

I watch in horror as (y/n) takes the hit for me. Why would she do that for me? I've always treated her like shit. Like the one time I cut up her face over something stupid like sticking her tongue out at me. She doesn't deserve that hit. I do! My mind is spinning. I watch as she looks up at something, smiling as she does so. She begins to stagger, struggling to keep her ground. She then begins to fall forwards. I won't allow this to happen. Not while I'm still alive. I make a strong attempt to catch her, only to fall to the ground as she disappears. Instead, I'm greeted with one of the black shards that came from her into my monocle. I get up and brush myself off, making sure to take the glass shard out of my monocle. It's strange. This is the only piece that hasn't dissapeared. I hold onto it in my hand, making sure to be gentle enough that it won't break. The pain in my back isn't as unbearable as the pain in my...what is it called? Heart? I immediately put on a straight face, which I hope covers up my pain. The heart necklace she always wore rises up into the air and begins shaking. Then, a giant crack appears. Then another. And another. I can't reach it in time, and it completely breaks; all of the broken fragments of it vanish as fast as (y/n) did. I look over at the little fucker who killed her. Her face is curved into a huge smile. I'll make sure that the only thing that she will be smiling at in a minute is her own death.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Your POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)!"

You wake up, your eyes adjusting to the bright flash of light. You sit up off of your stomach, rubbing your eyes as you do so and take note of the missing slash. You lift your hand up to your face, noticing that the scar from Black Hat remained. You get up, feeling no pain whatsoever, and look at who is calling your name.

"Hey Cross!" You smile warmly, hugging him.

After a minute of hugging him, you break away, wiping your tears as you do so.

"A-Am I dead?" You inquire Cross nervously.

In response, he looks away from you then back.

"Well, you are almost there...I used some of my power to get into your necklace and drag you here, just so I could fix you up...There's just one issue..." Cross states anxiously.

"Thank you! And what is the issue?"

"It's impossible to be able to get you back there....there is no way that you will be able to travel back to where you were....I'm sorry (y/n)...."

At this remark, your body shudders. You slide to your knees smoothly and begin to cry hard. You really want to avenge Cross, and make sure Black Hat was ok. You didn't want him to get injured anymore....or worse. Cross watches you, feeling your pain. He sits down beside you and hugs you. He begins to think, then a dark thought pops into his mind.

"Wait, (y/n), I have an idea that might work." Cross states.

You look up at him and wipe your tears unenthusiastically.

"P-please....share..." Is all you can manage to say.

"I can use what is left of my soul to put into your heart locket. This will allow you to be able to get back fully healed." Cross explains.

"R-really?" You say, beginning to feel a glimmer of hope. "But wouldn't you disappear forever? I can't stand the thought of losing you again...this time forever."

Cross gives you a weak smile and stands up, helping you up too.

"I'm willing to sacrifice myself to make you happy and live longer as I had said in the past. You have been making me happy, trying to avenge my death and giving only kindness to those you have met. Black Hat deserves the second chance to see you, even though he can be rude at times. If he makes you happy, I'm willing to revive you to make this happen."

"Th-thank you!" You say as you get up and hug him tight. He hugs back, knowing this will be that last time you will see each other.

"Ready?"

"Ready."

Cross curls his hand around your necklace, which is still around your neck. He closes his green eyes for the last time and exhales. The necklace glows bright gold, lighting up the room until you have to shut your eyes.

"It was nice knowing you, my friend. I don't know if I will ever see you again. Just don't give up. Give all of the love you would give to me to Black and stay kind. I'll always be in your heart if you feel lonely ever. My soul will forever remain in that necklace. It cannot shatter. Good luck, (y/n)..." Cross' voice whispers to you.

You feel your body burn with sadness, but don't cry. Instead, you are filled with perseverance to avenge Cross, along with fury. It is time to finally end this feud.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Black's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There is suddenly a bright flash of light and something that sends chills up my nonexistant spine for the first time. All of the pieces to that heart locket of (y/n)'s flies together in the center of the room and fixes itself together, leaving no cracks left in it. In no time, the familiar figure I know appears, its body being pieced back together by the broken shards of glass. The one I held doesn't seem to want to return, so I hold onto it and hide it in one of my suit pockets. The light fades, revealing the figure alone. Instead of her multicolored outfit that I couldn't stop shooting looks at earlier, she's wearing all black. It seems very strange. Even her cute ears and tail are black as night too. She slowly floats down to the floor, eventually standing on the ground fully. Her eyes are closed, as if she is in some sort of trance, then they snap open. Both of her eyes are completely black except for the pupils. They have folded into cat slits and are glowing white. She smirks in Brisk's direction, showing her razor sharp teeth. They are as sharp as mine. I have to admit, this is damn attractive. But like my shameful self, I stay quiet, my face burning a bit then stopping. I know that Brisk is completely fucked over, but what happens next catches me completely by surprise.
