"So the wrong saviour came to rescue her. No worries. I'll just kill you instead. Will make it easier to get to the other two," Dastiel said.

"Oh, but you forgot about me. And here I thought you wanted a happy never after. Pity I'm already married," Amanda said from the door beside Dastiel.

"A ring never stopped me before,"-he said as he dropped the girl to her feet.-"Just makes it a lot more fu-"

A loud roar cut off his words and when glass shattered all around him, his eyes grew twice their size. Luke stood up from the ground and stomped over to him, reaching him in three large steps. Within seconds Dastiel hung, kicking and gasping, from Luke massive hand; Yellow eyes glared directly into Dastiel's petrified face.

"Fun? Sick and twisted and abominable, but not fun! What I'm about to do to you will be fun," Luke said in a deep dangerous voice. "Lady Amanda, would you take care of the little one, while we take out the trash. I don't think any of you want to see what I'm about to do." His dragon turned to look at her and when she nodded, cradling the little one against her side, Dastiel flopped to the ground, unconscious, before Luke griped his collar in his clawed hand and dragged him from the wearhouse.

Shaun could hear the grunts and blows as Luke's fists and feet made contact with Dastiel's body and cringed when he heard the crackle of electricity before bones started snapping and popping.

"Shaun, I need Chezlin to bring Elizabeth here. I am going to need a lot more energy than what I have available. They are in so much pain," Amanda said.

"Are you sure that is a good idea? Bringing Chezlin here with all this pain, might harm him more than-"

"Too late, we are already here." Elizabeth said with Chezlin hanging from her shoulder. "He couldn't take it anymore, so I brought him here to be near Jenna. She is the only one that can help him block all the pain." She dragged him closer and he curled up next to her with his head on her lap.

"You haven't been practicing like you promised," Jenna whispered to him. "I can't always be there and you need to try harder, Babe. I know it hurts, but you have to try." She wiped the tears from his cheeks and laid one hand on his head and the other against his back. When the colour started returning to his face and his sobbed eased off, Shaun noticed the silence outside.

A loud agonising roar filled the silence and Elizabeth spun around, dropping to a crouch.

"Luke never liked killing someone, but this one was personal. Dastiel killed the only girl that never saw him as a freak. His only friend and partner," Shaun explained.

"Partner?" Elizabeth asked.

"They had guard duties together. No one else wanted to work with him. She said she felt safest when she was working alongside him. A week before Dastiel killed her, her shift got changed for no reason and while she was out on the furthest parameter, Dastiel grabbed her, raped her and beat her to death. Luke accused Dastiel, but without proof, no one did anything. After all he was the son of an elder. No one dared do anything. Somehow Luke knew it had been him. He doesn't talk about it so I don't know all the specifics," Shaun said.

Elizabeth nodded and stood up. "I'll be right back," she said and walked out the door.

Amanda knelt next to them and tapped Chezlin's shoulder softly. "Chez, could you move for one second. I have to help Jenna so she can help you," she said.

When Chezlin sat up, Amanda pulled Jenna around so she could lay on her back, resting her head on Amanda's lap. Amanda hummed and her eyes and hands lit up again as she ran her fingers through Jenna's hair. The drug seemed to ooze from every pore on Jenna's body and Shaun grabbed some paper towels laying near a dresser, that had been pushed carelessly against a wall.
