Nine

    I woke up and stripped to my bra and underwear before putting on some spandex shorts and a tank top. Then, I headed outside and shoved my headphones into my ears, playing music while I started to mow and weed-eat.

     When I finished, I went and started setting up the water slide Aaron and I made. It was a few tarps that lead straight into the pool. Then I went into my garage and got all of my pool floaties and started blowing them up before tossing them in the corner.

      When I finished, I went back to the garage and grabbed the white table, when I walked out I started opening it and drug it over to the side where I sat it up and then put the table cover on it.

    I went inside and started looking at all the groceries before I grabbed my stuff and headed to the store to get everything. When I made my way back I texted Aaron to come over and help me, then I started playing music on my color changing stereo.

      I made salsa, guacamole, some queso, and then finally the door opened and I heard multiple voices. I peaked over to see Aaron and Elton coming in.

     "Hey guys, I was wondering if you just wanted to get my phone and text everyone to head on over and then the other one can help me me" I said in one breath before I started putting the salsa and guacamole in the fridge to stay fresh, leaving the queso on the stove on low.

      "Oh they're about to head over, just getting ready" Aaron said, I nodded and then looked at them "Then can you start making burger patties while I go get changed?" "Yeah, I can" Elton said, and I nodded.

      Quickly I started washing my hands and then ran up to my bedroom where I got dressed into my bikini and then slipped on a Slipknot hoodie, zipping it half up. I went back down stairs and then Elton was making patties so I walked over and started helping "where's Aaron?" I asked.

      "He went to buy some stuff to drink. Said you must have forgotten" I nodded "Yeah, I meant to ask him to get some on his way over here" he nodded and we kept making patties. "So, about the other day" I blushed slightly and sat the burger on a plate "What about it?" I asked while walking to the fridge and getting the tomatoes, onions, and lettuce out to cut up out.

      "Was that going to mean anything? Anything at all?" I spun around to look up at him "What do you mean?" I asked, setting the stuff down and grabbing a knife and cutting board. He stepped closer to me and grabbed my hand after I set the board down and he pulled me closer to him. It made me turn an awful shade of red. "When you were about to kiss me?" "You almost kissed me" "We almost kissed each other. Was it going to mean anything to you" he asked again, putting an arm around my waist slowly.

     "I'm not so sure" "well it was pretty ruined by a few people" "It was, that's true" "Well nobody is here now" "That's also true" I said. I knew I was an ugly shade of red and I couldn't do anything to help it.

    Truthfully, I did want to kiss Elton. I liked him, but I didn't want to admit it I don't think.

     When I had snapped out of my thoughts, I looked at Elton who was moving down and I started moving closer. Our lips weren't an inch away when we heard the door open and lots of voice shouting for me, Elton, and Aaron.

    I jumped away quickly and grabbed the knife, starting to wash the lettuce off. "In the kitchen!" I shouted and feet headed towards us. "Wait didn't Aaron and you come together, Elton?" "Yeah but Lexi forgot to buy drinks earlier" I nodded and started cutting everything. Soon Corey helped Elton carry the burgers outside and then Devyn grabbed the packs and packs of wieners I haa bought. Colby picked up the potatoes we had wrapped in foil and then Sam grabbed the corn that was also wrapped up while Kat sat inside and helped me get everything.

      We walked outside after putting everything in a container and covering them and sat them all on the table. Even the ketchup, mayo, and mustard. Soon Aaron had come back and he bought me Vanilla coke so I was drinking one right now while setting with my feet in the water.

     I heard laughing and as I turned around, Elton was running at me, I squealed and stood up. When I went to take off running I felt him grab me and we fell into the water. I held my breath and opened my eyes to see Elton. I gave him the middle finger before swimming to the surface and grabbing the side of my pool.

     I sucked in a deep breath while everyone was laughing and started getting in the water, while Aaron was making the burgers. I got out and sat down on the side, taking my hoodie off. Elton came out and sat in front of me, shaking the water from his hair.

       I got up and walked over to Aaron to check on the food, and then I felt someone picking me up when I started squealing loudly, I just gt thrown into the water, I came out and gasped while looking up to see Colby and Elton laughing. I rolled my eyes and swam to the opposite side, climbing out beside Devyn and Kat. I sat on my towel on the far left and they were talking about Kat's music.

      I started ringing out my hair and then got up, going to grab my hoodie from the ground. I stuck it on the gate to dry out. When I made my way to the grill I just sat with Aaron and helped him while taking them off the grill and moving them to the table. "Guys, burgers and dogs are ready" I said and watched Colby run straight over to the table. I just chuckled while grabbing the sun screen and looking at Aaron "Can you put it on my back? I don't wanna be a tomato again" he chuckled and nodded, taking it from my hands.

     He started rubbing it into my back then I took it back to put on my arms, legs, chest, stomach, and face. When I headed back to the pool, I grabbed my pizza floatie and laid down on it, on my stomach. I was resting when everyone else finally got in the water and we just started to enjoy each others company.

     It started to get dark so everyone left, besides Aaron, Elton, and Colby because we were going to watch Tenacious D finally. So I took Colby to my basement shower which he was creeped out about so Aaron decided to shower there, and I took Colby to my hallway shower, then I was showing Elton the guest room bathroom "Towels are in the cabinet, there's soap, shampoo, conditioner, and even some razors" I said and spun around to look at him just standing in his shorts.

     I gave him a smile "Anything else?" I asked, and he just smiled, putting his hand on my waist and pulling me to him. I interrupted by saying "We've been stopped from kissing twice now. I don't know if the third time is gonna work" he just smiled "Didn't you say third times charm just earlier when you tried back flipping into the pool and failed twice?" he asked.

    I just nodded and he leaned down and finally. Finally we weren't interrupted and we had kissed. His little hairs from his beard and mustache had tickled my face, but I liked the feeling. I pulled away and it was hard to open my eyes, but when I had looked up he was smiling.

      I returned the smile and he leaned down and kissed me again, so I moved my hands up to cup his cheeks. After a minute, I pulled back again and smiled "I need to go shower" I said, pulling away. He nodded and I turned around and walked out and into my bathroom.

    When I got into my bathroom, I shut and locked it before walking to turn it on. Stripping from my bathing suit I stepped into the shower and while standing there, I leaned against the back and slid down the back.

     Just thinking about the kiss made me fuzzy. I admitted to myself earlier I liked him, but kissing him made it way more real. And he did kiss me, so does.. Does he like me too? That means he does, right? Usually?

    I decided to not think too much about it so I quickly got up and started showering. My hair not smelled of Strawberries and my skin smelled like a rose. When I got out I wrapped up in a towel and stepped into my bedroom where I quickly got dressed into a Send It shirt and some shorts. Since my shirt had been ruined by blood, Elton had given me another one.
