Chapter 5

Killer Hangover.

Snuggling in deeper to my duvet cover i wrapped it around my shoulders, and reached up ,y bed and quickly grabbed my pillow and cuddled it tightly. My whole body ached and i couldn't be bothered moving out of my comfortable warm bed.

Actually i don't think i will. It might be a day to call in sick. But if i do that then i get behind in all the work and it becomes a big drama. Packs are sometimes overrated a lot.

Looking under my sheets i realized what i was wearing, same clothes i have been in for over 24 hours. Isn't that attractive. Groaning i pushed myself out of my nice warm comfortable bed and walked into my bathroom and stripped and turned on the nice long hot bath. Dipping a toe in the water was beautifully warm and i quickly submerged the rest of my body i laid there with my head in the water retracing my footsteps. All i can really remember is being out at club and drinking too much and almost getting killed but that's all. Looking into the mirror across from me i can see the purple bruises and even on my face there is a slight bruise and I've got a fat cut lip.

Pitch bloody perfect.

Finally pulling my ass out of the bath i got changed and quickly covered up my bruises as best as i could. I put a long woolen jersey over me and a pair of tracksuit pants Gathering my strength i walked down stairs where i could hear voices coming from.

"April "They all gasped.

"What the hell happened to you ??"

"Got into a fight at the nightclub with a guy, "I said, So technically i wasn't lying to them i was just not giving the full facts. A growls escaped a sitting down Max eating his cornflakes, My eyes connected with his and his eyes lightened and i just stared into them until i remembered what he had done.

"How come i wasn't told about this ?"Max argued.

"It was no quarrel with you. I didn't want to wake anyone."

"You were clearly attacked."

"It doesn't matter its over now. Ashton -"

"My office now "He growled at me, Looking at Ruby and Rick and Kyle they all looked at me in pity but the other emotion they had in their face that was directed and none the less Max it was pure disgust and anger. As i am his mate, they are naturally protective over me and their wolves also have connection with mine. Lunas take a toll on the Pack and on the environment that's why i can not afford to grow weak because of this bond if i get weak and helpless it will affect everyone in this pack.

Following behind him he stormed into his office and went behind his desk and i quietly closed the door and stood their with no expression on my face, he sat there clearly very angry with me.

"So you call a bloodsucker instead of me ?'He growled.

"I didn't call anyone, How was i meant to know we were going to get jump-"Realizing what i had said made me shut up straight away, he noticed i was lying and stood up from his desk i could tell his wolf was getting angry.

"Hey baby which dress do you like for the ceremony i still can't decided and we only have a week "She over exaggerated walking into the room and making a scene before realizing i was there and she turned around and smiled at me.

"Hey April. Are you okay i heard them over talking you got hurt last night ?OMG Look at your neck. 'I saw Max's eyes zoom in on my neck and a small growl escaped.

"I'm fine its just a few scrapes and bruises."

"See that's more of the attitude we need in this pack. Max you should be training everyone how to be like April. Emotionless and selfless. "She smiled at me as if what she had just said was a compliment to me.
