Chapter 20

Aprils P.O.V

I woke up to a warm feeling next to me and i turned over to see Alexander next to me, Oh god we really shouldn't be making this habitat. I looked at him and his arm draped around me and pulled me in tighter, a small cry left my chest as it hurt my wounds. He immediately let go and his eyes widened.

"Sorry"He mumbled.

"Its okay," I said, I pulled away and went to turn away from him when i winced in pain as i felt one of my cuts pull and it hurt like a bitch to say the least.

"Does it hurt still?"

"Yeah a little"I say trying to sit up. He removed one of the pillows from behind him and put it behind my back.

"I'll call the pack doctor."He said before exiting the room, smelling the room i could tell that this was obviously his bedroom the walls were a dark black and almost everything in the room was black but it looked very stunning. The view was even better though and i was astounded at what i saw. It sort of looked like it was photo shot but i knew this really was real.The mountain and the lake looked absolutely beautiful.

This the other reason no one ever attacks Alexander, packs that is. He may have the biggest lands but its mainly mountains. No one sees any benefit in taking land they would never use and that their pack would struggle to protect.

"Beta April very nice to see you again, its been too long "The pack doctor said before removing the covers from my body thankfully Alexander must have put me in. He looked at my back and i felt his presence and emotion been taken back. I haven't looked in a mirror yet, i'm too afraid to see what my body looks like now.

"I'm ah just going to get Alpha Alexander to carry you to the kitchen table. I will need to see you more clearly."He exited the room and left, soon after Alexander came in and took a seat on the bed. He was no emotionless.

Without even saying a word i was picked up and carried down the stairs bridal style, I don't know why people were letting me walk but i needed to be carried everywhere apparently. I lied down on the kitchen table which was turned into a hosptail bed, the doctor put a very cuddly sheet down and when i laid on my stomach it didn't hurt as bad.

Ben was downstairs and he gave me a weak smile while Alexander said he had something to take care off for about a hour and Ben would be looking after me. Aurora and Gabriel said that they would come and say goodbye before they left to go home. Theyd be back in a week for the wedding though. As Alexander left, i began to question if i did the right thing last night by kissing him or was it just a stupid mistake.

Remembering last night, felt sort of embarrassing but nice at the same time. I pulled him into kiss me gently and then pulled away, i remember the look in his eyes and he pulled me back into him and began kissing me very passionately. Then i remember after that me falling asleep in that very nice pool.

"Won't your mate get mad you being with another Alpha ?"The pack doctor asked me , He couldn't have known about Max, there was no way that he knew, my body stiffened i didn't want Alexander knowing that i was mated to his brother, as he would accuse Max of lying to his pack and most likely murder him.

"He's um no longer in the picture,"I state before, the doctor begins to put some sort of paste on my back. I gripped the cloth for something to hold on to. This went on for a good hour before he had finished putting all of the stuff on my cuts and bruises.

Alexander came back in the back door and he looked very angry for some unknown reason. Did the pack doctor tell him about max ?Did he already know?

"April would you like to try and walk?"I nodded my head and put one foot on the ground and then the other i held the table for support. I straightened my back and then let go and took another step before i fell of balance and was ready for my collision with the floor when a pair of arms caught me,
