Chapter 26

Aprils P.O.V

Arriving at the old Conroy's building i did not see Cheif anywhere in site, i got out of my car drew my gun, I started to lightly jog and i looked around and only saw two ways out the front and back door. Returning behind my car for safety i kept my gun drawn on the house, looking around me i saw that everything was dead. Apart from the rain that was starting to lightly drizzle down on me.

All of the windows were boarded up and it was the perfect place for a rogue to be hiding. I watched as a human figure took out of the door, catching a glimpse of his eyes i knew that it was him. A growl left me and i started running after him, in high heels.

"STOP "I growled at him before i stopped running and took my aim, i let the chamber empty itself. But realised i only got him in the arm which didn't stop him, Jumping over logs and tree routes i could feel my dress tearing and and getting dirty in the mud. The rain continued to pour down and i knew shifting into wolf form would be a waste of energy as i wouldn't be able to find his scent as the rain was washing everything away. I looked at the stream that barely ever had water in it and now it was waist deep.

I saw him take off running through the water. And i did the same, i felt the water soaking into my dress which made it saggy and hard to run through in water. I could feel how strong the current was as i felt like it was so strong and ever step across the strong current was energy that i didn't have, I could feel one of my wounds opening up and i looked down and saw little splatters of blood were tinting the brown water.

Reaching the land i ripped my high heels off and got back to running after him, i began attempting to grab the extra chambers for my gun in my vest and dropped the empty one on the ground. I felt my heart racing and everything in my body was slowly starting to ache. I watched as his figure disappeared into the distance i kept on running through the depths of the forest. Stopping in the middle of the clearing i looked around as my breaths rushed out of my breath i was clearly puffed.

That was until this laugh echoed through the small valley, I landed my eyes on the man with the black eyes, i raised my eyes and then he laughed again.

"Drop the gun princess "Another voice said i turned around and their stood Marcel.

Aurora's P.O.V

I watched April's face as Max and his whore sucked each others faces April's, small tear drop was shredding down her face,She wore a fake smile which any female could read through. However men, they are a completely different story, My own mate doesn't even realise that they are mates.

My gaze went away from April and across the room to her pack mates who obviously all knew about what had happened, i felt disgusted at what Max said about her at the ceremony. Especially when i started putting all of the pieces together. I ended up confronting Kate as i knew she had to know what the full story was.

She told me how Max and April were the most happiest couple you could have seen those two days after April's birthday, They were going to announce themselves being mates but then Jane walked in saying she was knocked up with his kid. I really do hate Jane, I found this out the night of Aprils near death experience.

As the ceremony finally ended i watched as April handed that kid of,the music began to pump very loudly, April ran into Kates arms and Kate cuddled her tightly i could see by both Aprils and Kate's body language that something was obviously clearly upsetting.

Penny walked over with a glass of champagne and April quickly took it out of her hands and skulled it down, My heart ached as i watched her gulp it down as if it was nothing, Her body language could tell her entire story. She had her guard up around her but you could tell quite easily she was hurting. She was hurting a lot more then she let on. I Watched as she tapped a waiters shoulder and she quickly grabbed the beer off of his tray.
