Aprils P.O.V

I woke to birds chirping at my balcony slowly sitting up i saw 4 little Blue birds sitting out on the porch chirping away like there was no tomorrow. I watched as one bird sat on the edge of the pot plant which had the cute little sign Poppas patch, My Poppa used to be my everything until he died in a car crash 4 years ago when i was 14. He loved doing his gardens and i loved to help him with them.

It would just be me and him, Mum and dad were always off working so hed babysit me until they got home or came to get me, When he died all i wanted was my sign that i had given him as a child. Every 3 days i'd come here to water his patch and in winter when it snows like a blizzard, they come inside and sit in the laundry.

Watching the little birds eat the bird seed out of the feeder turned out to be quite the most relaxing and entertaining thing i have ever watched. One little blue bird had a multiple small patches of red and white on him and clearly did not have all the wires in the correct place as it couldn't eat it without making it a complete mess and some off the other birds would just stare at him eating. In the end i think the little bird finally gave up and just let the other have it.

Pushing the covers up the cold air immediately wrapped around my body which made me jump right back in and pull the covers back up. This shit was just too cold and i felt like i wasn't wearing the correct Pjs Last night looking under the sheets all i had on was pair of shorts and then a tshirt.

I saw the little bird sitting there by itself and i felt so bad for it as it watched the other birds all eat, Braving the cold. I quickly got out of my nice comfortable bed that i forgot i had and quickly chucked on some random clothes.

Quietly i open up the french balcony doors and slowly step out onto the balcony porch and the other birds notice me and fly off but the other bird just backed itself into a corner and began shaking.

"Hey hey, i'm not going to hurt you. Here you go little one "I say putting my hand in the bowl off seed and gently putting a few little steps away from the little bird, It looked up at me differently and it kinda looked grateful.

I quickly moved away from the seed and took a seat on my deck chair and watched as the little bird quickly went over and ate the seed. Looking out on the horizon i could see so much more than i usually can from where i used to live.

Looking at all the wildlife i began to remember the first morning i spent with Max with us knowing that we were mates. It brought a small smile to my face, on the bright side at least we had a few good days together before my life's dreams and what i was meant to have was taken over by none the less Jane.

A car caught my attention and automatically i went into all guard mode, a million questions flushed into my head like someone had searched something in google and pressed enter then something Million results came up in 0.4 seconds. Looking deeper into the dust cloud i saw that it was a black sports car and realised it was one of Max's many play boy cars. Something inside of me felt happy that he had come to see me and the other wanted us to pretend we weren't home.

If i pretended i wasn't home he would most likely kick the door down and i'd have no door, which would not be the best idea as winter will soon be here. And when Max kicks down a door its not just the door that comes down its pretty much the door its frame and half the wall the frame was once connected too.

As his car pulled up in the driveway and he got out he saw me and a small smile came onto his face. Turning around i slowly walked through my balcony doors and quietly shut them to not scare the little bird who was quietly eating away at the seed i had laid next to him.
