Rabiah's POV
I was sad. No - Sad's even an understatement. I was hurt. Shattered. Heartbroken. A day without Omar felt like I couldn't breathe. I finally had him to myself. He was all mine until she called. I understood they were friends and all that but,why does he have to pick her from the airport? Her parent are alive, aren't they? Why my Ja'an?I was pulled out from my thoughts when I heard a voice saying. No,this voice was screaming...
"I knew it was you. Rabby!!!" I was shocked for a second. No one calls me Rabby except---No way!!! I turned around and I couldn't believe my eyes. She's here. Yeah, you guys are wondering who's here, right? Well, meet Sabriina.

"We are best friends forever. I'll miss you so much" Sabriina said at the airport crying. We both were crying. Sabriina had to leave for Saudi Arabia because her parents needed her to take over the "Royal Estate Companies" She's been there for me through thick and thin. When I was in trouble with Helen, our school's cheerleader. She came and helped. Since then,we became friends. No,more like sisters. We did everything besties do.
"I'll miss you. I love you,Sabriina" I said to her whilst hugging her and shedding tears. You know that moment when your friend is leaving and you don't know when or where you'll see them? Yeah, that's this moment.
"I love you,Rabby. Promise to keep in touch" was her last sentence to me. I continued waving my hands until she was out of sight. I missed her. I did keep in touch of course. But after a year, all connections to her failed. She wasn't online on social networks. I got no replies to my messages I sent via Email. I called,I was transferred to voice mail. I was worried but now, she's here alive.Alhamdulillah! I engulfed her in a hug. So tight. I've missed her so much.
"I can't breathe. I love you but I can't breathe." She struggled to say. Haha-my hugs!
"Oh,I'm sorry" I apologized. I just missed her so damn much.
"Its okay. How have you been? Mom & Dad? Oh yes,Abdullah must be so tall now, right? And Safia? I miss them so much" she asked. I was glad she was here. But one of her questions broke my heart. I miss my parents so much. She doesn't know what happened. I ushered her to sit on Omar's spot. We got seated. There were still fresh fruit juice. I offered it to her and she accepted. We got talking. You know girls, right? I told her about everything,my parents,my work,my siblings,Fareedaht, and what just happened. Yeah,Omar leaving me. I didn't skip that, beautilies!
"I'm sorry about your parents. May Allah forgive them and grant them Al-jannatul Firdaus" Aamin Aamin ya Rabbi. "Thank you,Sabriina" I was sad for a moment. But,my parents won't be happy about it. So,I had to stop. I smiled again. Alhamdulillah. To Allah we will return. I had to change the conversation which I did.
"About Omar, that's was bad of him to leave you here. But am sure he's sad about it and he'll make it up to you if he really loves you. Laura will be here. So,he cares about your safety too" she says. I was glad he thought that way. I didn't feel hurt anymore after I heard her saying all that.
"So,that's pretty much everything,Sabriina. How about you? Go on. Go on." I said clapping my hands making her smile. I'm just so happy to see her. She told me about her Dad's business which is doing great now. She told me she was here with her fiancée and his best friend----
She couldn't finish her sentence because a tall, slim, handsome looking guy walked over to us. He tickled Sabriina making her scream "Ahhh". When she turned, she saw him and she immediately embraced him. I wonder what was going on. Maybe he's her fiancee like she just said. But,he was with someone. Someone familiar. No! No! No! This is Bilal. What's he doing here? Sabriina turned to and said..."This is Akram and this is---"
"Bilal" I said calmly cutting her off. Why am I seeing him? Why now? Ya Rabbi.. He still looked the same. Tall, slim but he grew a moustache. Haha But,he's still cute as ever. But,Omar's way cuter. I was pulled out of my thought when her fiancée who bears Akram spoke.
"Rabiah I've heard a lot about from my Ja'an here. But,how do you know Bilal?" He calls her his Ja'an too. Awww,Omar.
To my surprise,Bilal and I answered but with different answers.
"We were friends" I said.
"We used to date" Bilal said.
Why did he have to say that? He should have kept mute, right? Akram had a confused look but didn't ask any further questions. I felt relieved. Thank God,the floral cloth was wide. We all got seated. Akram told us about how he met Sabriina which was at an Halal restaurant. According to him,he's never met anyone like her. She was rude at first but she came along. I noticed Bilal was smiling and staring at me. He was having this "I miss you" looks written all over him. I wonder why? He finally spoke saying...
"Rabiah,how have you been?"
"I've been good, Alhamdulillah, you?" I answered. Yes,I've been good, right. I asked how he was doing too because I don't want him getting the idea that I don't want to know how he's been doing.
"I've been good too" he replied smiling. I then turned and looked at Sabriina who was whispering something to Akram's ear making him smile. He then whispered back making her giggle. His eyes spoke that he loves her. That's how Omar looks at me. The "You're mine" and "I'm Yours" looks. I'm glad Sabriina found him. I miss Omar. I was snapped out of my thought when Bilal spoke again..
"What you doing here alone?" Bilal asked.
I wasn't alone, was I? No,Omar left. What do I say to him? I don't want him thinking I've been single or lonely because I lost him and that I was missing him. That's not true. I was glad when my eyes met with Laura's. She was approaching us and waving her hands saying "Rabiah,am here now. Let's go" She's a lifesaver wallahi.
"I've got to go. She's here now" I stood up. Sabriina helped me with the picnic basket and the cloth. We walked to Laura's car together. We then exchanged our numbers.
"We'll keep in touch now,Rabiah"she said. "Yes,we will. Thanks for coming back Sabriina" I said to her. We then hugged each other. I'm glad she's here now. I'll have someone to talk to apart from Aunt Ameenah. I then bade her, Bilal and Akram good bye. I then hopped into the car with Laura and we took our leave.
Life Saver huh!
LoL
