I sat on the bed in my hotel room in silence and begun to cry. Even though crying couldn't solve my problem, it felt like what I needed. I rested my head on the pillow and blew my nose then I stared blankly at the wall for a few minutes then my eyes begun to shut and I drifted off into sleep. "Liv", I heard my name faintly but it was too dark for me to see. "Liv" I heard it again and began to follow the voice. As I got nearer I recognized who's voice it was.
Liv- "Riley is that you!?" *I said while rubbing my eyes*
Riley- "I guess it is" *she said as she rubbed her hands together* "Liv, it's so nice to see you again", *she embraced me. I held onto her and began to weep*
Liv- "Riley I missed you so much" *she wiped the tears from my eyes.
Riley- "I know you have. I've been watching you and I know you're hurting but you don't have to. I'm doing okay. I'm finally at rest. No more pain. No more hurt. Don't worry about me Liv. I'm finally free" *she smiled then she looked away* "but I have missed you. Sometimes I wish if I could be there with you but I can't. But there is something you can do for me" *she turned back around and looked at me* "for starters you can stop crying so much and begin to move on. Even though I'm not there with you physically I've never once left your side. I'm always watching out for you and my beautiful god-daughter. I'll watch her grow up and make sure nothing bad ever happens to her. Well, I'll try my best at least. I promise."
Liv- "Thank you so much Riley. I really needed to hear your voice and I'll try my best. I promise" *I said wiping my tears*
Riley- "Now, you need to go and live your life. Have fun. Make unforgettable memories like we have. I'm always right behind you. Forever and always and whenever you begin to miss me. I want you to touch your heart for about two seconds and close your eyes. When you open them you'll feel better. And get rid of those cigarettes. I wanted to smack you so hard when you put that thing between your lips" *she smacked me behind my head to prove her point*
Liv- "Ouch! That hurt!", I said rubbing the spot she hit.
Riley- "Well that's the point", she said with a smile, "sometimes you do crap and I gotta knock some sense back into you". *I shook my head*
Liv- "Well I guess I did deserve it. I don't know what I was thinking"
Riley- "I second that. Now wake up and do what you came all this way to do and remember...I'm always with you and whenever you feel like your alone remember what I told you" *she said that and disappeared*
