Again, I waited outside the classroom door. But this time, Kevin insisted on waiting with me incase Jack ditched me again. We watched our classmates exit the room. When it seemed like everyone was gone, I looked back in the room.
It looked like Jack was giving Lizzie some sort of apology. She gave him an evil glare and he quickly exited the room.
"Ready?" He asked me with a smile. He glanced at Kevin then back at me, giving me a look.
I turned to Kevin, "You don't have to wait with me anymore." I said to him. He nodded and gave me a friendly smile before walking away. I turned to Jack who was glaring at Kevin as he walked away.
"Problem?" I asked. He turned back to me with a smile.
"Nope! Come on, let's go someplace we can talk." He said and we started walking through the sea of people.
We stopped at a janitors closet and Jack held the door open for me.
We walked inside the cramped space and Jack closed the door behind us.
He turned to me with a serious expression. "What's wrong?" He asked.
I turned away from him, but he touched my cheek and turned my head to face him again. I pulled away from his touch and turned my body so I was facing the door. He came up behind me. He tried to put an arm around me but I slapped his hand away.
"What's wrong with you?!" I shouted. He jumped back, but because the space was so small he hit the wall. "You have a girlfriend! You can't just touch my face and get all flirty with me!" He seemed taken back, back he slowly nodded.
He had on a sad expression, like a puppy scolded. "I'm sorry," he said. "I just forget everything whenever I'm with you." I almost gave in, but stopped myself.
"There it is again! You're being flirtatious!" I scolded him.
"Sorry," he muttered. I sighed,
"It's okay, just...try to hold back a bit, that's all." He nodded.
"So what's wrong? Why are you mad at me?" He finally asked the question he'd been waiting to ask. I already knew we were going to be late to class.
"Well," I started, "You ditched me to play tongue tag with Lizzie, for starters!" I said. His face turned a dark shade of red.
"You saw that?" He asked. I nodded,
"I was waiting for you by the door, I left when I saw you guys." He nodded.
"Continue." He said.
"Okay," I said, "Luckily Kevin was nice enough to show me to the classroom, but we were late because it took me a while to wash away the te-" I suddenly clamped my mouth shut. I could feel a blush creeping up my face. Jack looked at me worriedly.
"Were you crying?" He asked.
"No." I said quickly, too quickly.
"Why were you crying?" He asked softly. No point hiding it anymore.
"Because I like you, Jack. And you never mentioned a girlfriend, and you led me on! So I was just...hurt, that's all." I said. He nodded.
"I'm sorry, Elsa." He said sincerely, looking me in the face.
Suddenly Jack made a funny face and I burst into laughter. Not soon after, so did he.
"So am I forgiven?" He asked between laughs. I nodded and gave him a friendly hug. I couldn't help but catch his scent, vanilla, my favorite.
"You smell nice." I said randomly as we pulled apart.
He smiled, "Whose being flirtatious now?" I blushed lightly. He laughed in a friendly way, it was contagious and soon I was laughing. We were just a laughing mess.
"We better go." He said when we finally calmed down. Our faces were still red from laughing, though. I nodded and we walked out. There were still a few people in the hallway, which meant we wouldn't be too late to our next class, Science.
We walked down the hallway, thankfully the class was only a few doors down. We walked in just as the bell rang. We quickly took our seats in the front and earned a suspicious look from the teacher, a short, bald man with scholar glasses and a grey suit with and orange shirt underneath. When he looked away, we looked at each other and started giggling. I heard a snort and looked back to see who it was. It was a girl with wild red hair and blue eyes.
Jack looked also and rolled his eyes.
"Whose that?" I whispered to him.
"Merida, she's one of my friends." He whispered back. I nodded and directed my attention back to Mr.Nill(the teacher).
^^Lunch^^
I walked out of the classroom with Jack, we were heading to lunch.
We were putting away our things in our lockers when Punzie skipped up to us.
"Can I talk to you, Elsa?" She asked, then threw a nervous glance at Jack, "Alone?" She gave me a look and remembered the events of 1st period. I nodded and turned to Jack.
"I'm gonna go to lunch with Punzie, if you don't mind." I said.
He looked at me with a smile.
"That's fine! Meet me by the entrance afterward so I can take you to your next class." He said.
I nodded with a smile and walked with Punzie to the girls bathroom.
