An Ulterior Motive

I guess I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up it was dark outside. I looked up and saw Louis fast asleep. I slowly and quietly got up and went to get something to drink. While I was walking down the stairs, I heard Rachel talking to someone.

"How could you do this to me? To Arabella? She loved you. And you go and kill her grandmother and rape her. That's low. Even for you, James."

James? My ex killed my grandmother. I wanna kill him right now.

"Well, I had been offered a good deal so I couldn't resist." I heard James say

"And what was that."

"Her uncle knew she was back in England and before the old bat went and changed her will, he promised me half of whatever he got. So you figure, 500 grand, a house, and you. It was an offer I had to take."

"Me? Why was I even stupid enough to think you were different?"

I'd had enough I ran down the stairs, surprising them both.

"Rachel, how could you. I trusted you." I yelled

She walked towards me and I backed up. 

"Let me explain." She begged

"No! You knew that he raped me and you were in on it! I will never forgive you for this!” I yelled at her

***Vanessa’s POV***

I woke up and heard screaming. It was Arabella. I snuck out of bed quietly and went to get Louis.

“Louis. Louis, wake up.” I said shaking him

He woke up and looked at me.

“What’s going on?” He mumbled

“I don’t know. Arabella is downstairs screaming at someone.” I whispered

He got up and followed me to the top of the stairs. 

"Let me explain." Rachel said begging

"No! You knew that he raped me and you were in on it! I will never forgive you for this!” Arabella yelled at her

So Rachel was with James and she knew that he raped her.

“I didn’t. I swear just like I didn’t know that he killed your grandmother. I had nothing to do with this.” Rachel pleaded

“I can’t believe you did this to me!”

Louis and I walked downstairs behind Arabella. I looked at her.

“Rachel, how could you?” I asked startling Arabella

She looked at us with tears in her eyes. Louis grabbed her and held her while I took my turn yelling at Rachel and James.

“James, if you loved her so much why rape her? Was it because she wouldn’t give it up to you? You knew that she wasn’t ready to have sex so you forcefully take it from her?” I yelled

They just stood there.

“I think I speak for all of us when I say get out and never come back.” I said calmly to them

Arabella just stood there.

"No. Not yet." She said

She walked up to Rachel and looked at her, then decked her in the face.

"Now, get out and if you ever come back around me I swear to god you won't like it." She said in a whispered tone
