Grant and I walked around watching each wolf fight. We put different people together based on their fighting style and their powers. I placed Alicia with Lindsey hoping for a good outcome. Alicia and Lindsey both made direct cuts while fighting and with Alicia’s speed and Lindsey’s mind reading they should cancel each other out well enough to really put more pressure onto their fighting skills. Grant and I agreed that Michael and Anthony would work well together, because Michael is the only one that will push Anthony without causing any unneeded harm.
“How’s the training going Mikey?” I yelled to him, as we saw him leap at Anthony. Only to see Anthony move swiftly out of the way and jump onto Michael’s back. Michael looked over at us and gave us a huge grin before flipping Anthony over his shoulder. Anthony landed the flip and turned to catch Michael’s punch, which he then grabbed Michael’s arm and flipped him causing Michael to come crashing down onto the ground, dirt flying everywhere.
“It’s goin’ absolutleh amehzin’.” Michael’s grin never left his face, even as he stood to brush off the dirt.
“Yeh got one hell ov ay fightr here!” Michael clapped a hand onto Anthony’s shoulder. Anthony chuckled quietly as he smiled over at us, his dimples were so deep as he looked from Michael to Grant and finally to me. His eyes lingered on mine longer than the others. I knew that he wanted me to show him how proud I was of him, but while training, I couldn’t treat him any different than the others.
“Go ahead and kiss the lad!” I hear Jared yell from across the clearing. Anthony blushed and I just chuckled to myself, shaking my head. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see Grant by my side.
“C’mon the lad deserves at least some little celebratory snogg for all his hard work!” Jared yelled again as he and the others started to jog closer to us. Grant let out a hearty laugh and nodded his head.
“Go for it Frank. It’s a big step for him and he did quite good, especially for going against Mikey here!” Grant said before he let out another one of his laughs. I looked back over to see Anthony grinning so wide that his dimples were showing off completely. He just looked so cute and so proud of himself, that I didn’t think anymore about it. I walked forward and grabbed a hold of Anthony’s waist and pulled him against me, slowly leaning down until our lips touched. I was about to pull back when I heard from over my shoulder a certain British voice.
“Oh c’mon you bloody wankers, that wasn’t a real snogg where’s the tongue?” and with that everyone was left laughing. I kissed Anthony once more and it was his turn to pull away this time.
“Now, Jared, we are saving the tongue for later!” Anthony smirked and sent a wink my way. Whoops and cheers were heard throughout the whole clearing as also many congratulations for Anthony’s hard work. I looked up at our newly formed pack to see hugs and high fives shared among everyone and it finally felt like we were really a pack. There were no more split differences it was just us and we could finally get along.
“Can we get back to our training now?” Jacob almost groaned. We all looked at him confused for a couple seconds before we broke out laughing.
“Fine. Let’s have some fun with this. Jacob you will go against,” I paused as I turned to look at everyone that he could have a possible chance with.
“Me!” a young girl came out from beside Jared, hand raised over her long dark brown hair and her bright blue eyes looking around quickly. She looked so young and innocent.
“Ah, this one is,” Grant paused as he tried to think of her name. Her eyes darkened as she glared at him.
“Lily.” she snapped. I nodded and guided her and Jacob into the middle of the clearing.
