When I started making covers, I think I wanted better covers and at the time I didn't know people could make your covers. I started to make my own, see how other people made their covers and then just did my own thing.

Before wattpad, I had a fan account so I already had some "experience" with editing photos and what not. But honestly, it's easy once you get the hang of it.

I'm here to help y'all out!

I first want to talk about the types of covers I make/have seen.

Now obviously these aren't the actual/official names of the covers, but this is how I differentiate each cover. There are simplistic covers, in your face covers, page tear covers, graphic covers, etc. I deadass just made those up as I typed. Now I'm going to show you what I mean by these covers.

LET'S BEGIN...

✱︎ Simplistic Covers

These covers are literally what they're called: simple. It's a photo with the title. That's it. They're the easiest to make. There's no way you guys can't make these covers.

✱︎ In Your Face Covers

Now don't think of the 'In Your Face Covers' with a negative connotation. I like these covers, but some of them that I see are a little...eh. Solely because i think less is more. You don't have to put all these things into your cover. Yeah, it'll attract some readers, but when it's overwhelming, people will turn away from it. These covers are very popular and take a bit more time to make, but once you get a hang of it, it'll be easy for you to make.

Now this example is definitely a suuuuper toned down version, since it doesn't have a background theme but you'll know what type of cover i'm talking about.

✱︎ Page Tear Covers

These ones were my first popular template. I've done what feels like a thousand of them. I'm a little over it, ngl, but there's no doubt that these covers can come out really good.

I will soon explain the do's and dont's to this cover. Some of you guys want a cover like this, but what y'all are giving me can't really produce your desired cover :/

Graphic covers aren't that popular which sucks because I think they're cool. By graphic covers, this is what I mean:

I'll get more into detail with the types of fonts you should use for each of the covers. As well as the do's and don'ts for each cover.

I have other templates, but they can all be explained into these categories (at least I think they can).
