This part was a must because the one that I have up from when I started this whole how to "book" (shout out to those who have been here for a minute) is outdated to the max. I took a peek at it earlier when I had redone the organization of this book and was shaking my head. That ain't it y'all. At least not anymore. Before it was fine, but now we are evolved.
I first started off with saying that I cringe when I see "low-quality ass pictures" -- still a valid statement and I definitely do not speak like that anymore lmao. Then I dragged Androids which no one cared about before but now... people are TRIGGERED. There is a whole convo about Androids vs. iPhones pertaining to the terms "waterproof" and "water resistance." I may not have commented in the convo, but I definitely saw it haha.
I sincerely apologize to all you android users. No hard feelings?
I said there were three places to get pictures: Tumblr, WeHeartIt, and the internet. I still very much use all these resources, but I wanted to go a little bit more in depth.
With Tumblr, all I'm gonna say is that the quality looks nice when you first see the photo, but then when you actually click on it, wait for it to load a tad bit more, the quality is not the best. This has led me to use less of Tumblr for getting pictures. If I do, it's because I found an HQ photo, but that's lowkey rare nowadays. I even tried to sharpen the picture to make it a little better, but it definitely did not.
WeHeartIt will forever be an o.g. This is where I get backgrounds (!!!) and photos for when I have "mini" photos on the covers I make. I truly love the app. When I wrote -- I'm currently on a break because writer's block has consumed my entire body -- BUT WHEN I DID I got some of my gifs from there too. Support her. We love her.
The Internet is definitely the one I really use. Before I recommended HQ Pictures (the website) but forget that. I haven't used it since I first mentioned it. Like I said, we are now evolved. Celebrities have a whole website dedicated to photos of them and they separate the photos into categories such as "Photoshoots" (I go straight to this category), "Candids," "Public Appearances," and some more. It's so organized. I love it. They all pretty much have the same kind of structure which is nice.
Here are some of the websites:
If you look up...
" ______ photoshoot."
Scroll down and see what pops up, you may see a website with their photos.
You can also look up...
"______ so sugary"
You really just need to look for good pictures. Sometimes the photo may not be the best quality but they do often tell you what the photoshoot was for so you can google it and find the same photo but with better quality.
Oh! And people also say pinterest is good and so if you have pinterest, don't sleep it on it. Use your resources!
