After hours of walking away from the murder, Becky came across a corner shop in the village. She remembered when Baxter died. The poor girl was heartbroken. Suddenly, Baxter appeared exactly where he died. His owner didn't want to run up to him as she new it was sadly just in her head. Becky wished it was real. Slowly Baxter faded and was nowhere to be seen. Becky had a feeling that would happen. She decided to walk out of the village and onto the grassland. She saw her house in the distance, but she didn't want to go in just get. Strangely, it was really quiet outside, maybe it was because someone had found the boys that she killed. Whatever the reason, it was too eerie for Becky. She thought the best idea was to go home. When she got to the front door, she always felt that someone, or something was waiting for her behind it.

She went inside and after closing the door. She turned around and there was Baxter. He was sat there, so happy to see her. Becky stood there shocked. "B-Baxter," Becky stuttered as she was astonished about what she was seeing. "It's been a long time my friend," spoke Baxter, which astonished Becky even more. She ran towards him and gave him the biggest hug she had ever given him. "I've missed you so much," said Becky, who now had a single tear on her cheek. "It's going to be alright Becky, you'll see." Becky was now sobbing as she was again seeing her best friend. As she sobbed she asked, "Who did this to you Baxter? Was it that Randy and his friends?" Baxter replied softly, "Becky do you really not remember? Do you really not remember what happened to me?" Becky sat there, confused about what her dog said. She shook her head and Baxter told her, "Well I don't know how to tell you this but, it was you that killed me."

Becky was shocked about what Baxter told her and spoke as she didn't believe him. "Baxter, what do you mean? I could never do anything that would cause harm to you." "I knew you would say that but I'm not lying to you, I could never lie to you," replied Baxter. Becky didn't know what to think. If she did cause Baxter pain, why did she not remember doing it. "Baxter that can't be true. When I came back from the shop with our food I found you dead." Baxter knew he had to explain to Becky that she was wrong and that he was still alive when she came back. He told Becky to sit down, she slowly did so. "I don't know what happened to you when you came back from the shops but you weren't normal. I could sense that. After you sat down next to me, you barely made eye contact with me, straight away I knew something was wrong." Becky was confused by the story, Baxter continued. "It looked like you somehow stole a knife from the shop and you stabbed me. You acted like nothing was happening. A bit after that, you looked at me and started crying. It was like you didn't even know that you were the one that stabbed me. I don't know what was wrong with you." Becky had her hand on her mouth and quietly sobbed. She was barely able to speak but managed to say something. "I'm sorry. I did this to you. I put you through pain. I'm s- so sorry Baxter." Baxter walked up to Becky and licked her cheek. Suddenly, she remembered Jeff telling her that Randy was the one that killed him.

"Wait a minute, I was told it was Randy. Jeff told me it was Randy so I killed him and the other freaks." Baxter shook his head and said, "You shouldn't listen to your brother. He'll tell you anything just to make you murder people. Never trust a psychopath Becky," he advised her. But Becky thought she was a psychopath herself, did this mean that she couldn't trust herself? "Don't worry Becky, I'm not angry with you. Things will get better, I know it will," spoke Baxter. Becky didn't know what to say. Slowly, Baxter's body started to fade and butterflies started to appear, "I'll see you again sometime my friend, don't worry I'll always be with you and I'll always be there even when you can't see me." Becky got up and watched the butterflies. She ran towards them saying, "Wait Baxter, don't leave me. Please!" The butterflies started to disappear but a single one flew towards her and Becky lifted her finger for it to land on. It had beautiful white wings, she smiled at it and it flew off. She watched it fly and slowly whispered "Goodbye."
