Chapter 3- Her Phoenix

**Sunset's P.O.V.**

I approach the girls. They all turn to greet me. There is Pinkie, AJ, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Rarity and Twilight. 

"Hey girls. How were your weekends?" I asked. 

"Weeeeeeeeeelllllll," Pinkie started.

"Oh here we go," Apple Jack said, with a tad bit of annoyance.

"So I was decorating the fundraising event, right? The one on Friday. The one where we all performed?You guys remember right? Of course you did; we totally rocked that fundraiser. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Fun fact: I am REALLY scatterbrained. I learned that when I was doing my physics presentation and Mr. Grumps actually DEDUCTED points off from my total score cuz I ended up taking about chimmey cherries and cherry changas. What a grouch right? Also, this one time i was in Mr.Grumps's class and I-"

"Pinkie darling, you are doing it again," Rarity interrupted Pinkie in a sing-song voice.

"Doing what?" Pinkie looked at Rarity, truly confused.

"You were getting off topic again darling," Rarity responded.

"Ohhhhhhhhh. Yeah I do that sometimes. Anyway, basically I might of accidentally dropped my phone into a party canon and then accidentally set it off. And the next thing i know my phone is launched in the air with a bunch confetti and sprinkles! So I'm going to take it to a repair shop after school today." Pinkie said, trying to catch her breath. I don't think she breathed once during that entire story.

I look around at the rest of the girls. They all looked relieved that Pinkie finished her story without getting sidetracked. Well, all except Rainbow. She was staring up at the ceiling, clearly uninterested. 

"RAINBOW!" Applejack said loudly and elbowed Rainbow's side.

"OW. Geez, you didn't have to do that." Rainbow responded, rubbing her side.

"Oh really?Do you even know what Pinkie was talking about?" Applejack said with full serving of sass. 

"Well um, she was talking about... sprinkles. Yeah she was talking about sprinkles," Rainbow confidently said. She put her hands on her hips and stuck her tongue out, playfully. 

"You know real well that almost all of Pinkie's stories have something about sprinkles. That's cheating," Applejack said, wiping the smirk off of Rainbow's face.

Oh, those two. Rainbow and AJ are always arguing like this. They are practically inseparable. If you didn't know them personally, you would probably think that they were a couple. Actually the more I think about it... no, they would of told me. 

"Um guys... the tardy bells rings in 30 seconds," Fluttershy quietly spoke.

"Oh dang. She's right. See you guys at lunch!" Twilight said as she awkwardly ran towards her class.

A variety of "Bye's" and "see ya's" happened, followed by all of my friends running of to their classes. It was  midway through the second semester and no one wanted to get any tardies. 

I quickly rounded the corner and entered my class, just as the tardy bell ended. I slide into my chair, trying to ignore the disapproving look I know I was getting from my teacher. I took out my Pre-Calculus folder and began the worksheet that I didn't finish from Friday. Pre-Cal was an extremely boring class to take, mainly because it was the only class I didn't have any friends in. Once I finished my worksheet, I scrolled through my phone from underneath my desk. All of a sudden, I saw something bright orange fly across the window. What could that have been? Maybe a butterfly? No it was too big to be a butterfly. Maybe a car passing by? But what car is fluorescent orange? I decided to think about this later. I must be imagining it. It's been three months since my last magical encounter, so my mind must be imagining it. I put my head on the desk and started to doze off.
