Chapter 6-Her Phoenix

Summary of Chapter 5 pt 2: Flash comes over to see Shadow, Sunset's new kitten. He points out that she is very protective and starts calling Sunset "Mama Bear." Sunset falls asleep while watching a movie with Flash.

**Sunset's P.O.V.**

I turn when I feel something warm against my face. Just 5 more minutes. I feel the warmness against my face and this time I turn around completely. I feel movement from underneath me, but choose to ignore it. I feel something crawl over me and feel the hand touch my face again. No-Wait-That's not a hand. I open my eyes slightly to see Shadow's little paws on my forehead. She notices that I'm awake and paws my cheek. 

Where am I?

I rub my eyes and look around. I realize that I'm in my apartment. Something shifts from underneath me again. I rub my eyes again. I sit up to see Flash underneath me. We both must of fell asleep and I ended up with my head on his stomach. I blush at the thought of me sleeping on his stomach. I shook my head, trying to get rid of my embarrassment. Shadow was on top of Flash, now pawing at his face. I smile and look around for my phone. Picking it up of the ground, I check the time. My eyes widen when I realize that I am running late for school. 

"FLASH WAKE UP!" I yell jumping off the couch, running toward my bathroom to get changed.

"Hhmmpph" He responds.

"FLASH!" 

"WhAt iS iT mAMa bEaR?" Flash exclaimed sitting up. 

"SCHOOL STARTS IN 5 MINUTES. GET UP NOW OR WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE!!!!"

"Oh shi-"

I throw him one of his shirts that he let me borrow last time he came to my apartment. I struggle to brush my teeth and put my jacket on at the same time. I ran to the fridge and got out 2 protein bars and threw the onto the counter. I grabbed some cat food, poured it into a bowl, and placed it down for Shadow. 

When I got to the living room, I saw that Flash had already changed his shirt. 

"The bathroom has an extra toothbrush. Freshen up so we can leave asap," I said , putting my hair up into a messy ponytail.  

Grabbing my backpack and key, I start to hop impatiently near the door. 

"C'mmmoooonnn," I yell out. My tone has the patience of the small child.

"Okay, okay. Calm down, I'm here," Flash said, walking out of the bathroom. Although he was wearing his gray sweatpants from last night, he still managed to look good. 

I grab his hand and pull him out of the apartment, closing the door behind us. I check the time, and we both start to run for my car.

We get to school with a mere minute before the bell rings. I enter the school to see a few others scrambling to get to their classes. 

"Are you gonna-" I started.

"Yeah I probably have extra clothes in my gym locker," Flash said, reading my mind.

"Okay but you don't have time right now. Change later," I mom-ed him.

"Okay will do. Mama bear..." He said, kissing my cheek and then jogging to his first period. 

I glared at him. He refused to look back, even though I knew he knew my reaction.

I turn around to head to my class to see Rainbow standing there. She had track first period, so she didn't get tardies.

"Mama bear eh?" She stood there, smirking. She clearly must have been watching us. 

"Um yeah?" I said, not knowing how to respond.

"What did you guys even do last night?" I knew what she was implying.

"Nothing Rainbow. He just came over last night," I said rushing to my class, but Rainbow followed behind me.

"MMMHHHHMM," she started. "Then why did you guys coincidentally arrive late and the exact same time?" Rainbow asked. She was not going to let this go.

"He um... spent the night," I mumbled, hoping Rainbow wouldn't make a scene.

But it wouldn't be Rainbow Dash if she didn't make a big scene.

"OOOOOOOOOHH!!! HEY EVERYONE. SUNSET GOT SUM DIIIII-" Rainbow yelled out. There was  no doubt the other classrooms could hear her. Thankfully, the bell rang, making the rest of her sentence inaudible. 

I ran into my class and slammed the door. I looked at everyone. They stared back, looking at me as I had lost my mind. 

I awkwardly walked to the back  of the classroom and sat in my seat. The kid behind me, Micheal was smoking up a storm. 

I put my head down. Ugh I'm going to have to clarify to Rainbow. If she doesn't tell the whole school first.
