Rose's POV

About ten minutes later, we pull up outside the park. He opens my door for me then grabs my hand as we walk to the gazebo close the the center of the park. Once getting there, we sit down on the bench inside.

"Are you okay? You look upset." Hunter looks genuinely concerned. "Oh, sorry. It's just I feel bad about Sectionals." I answer honestly. "It's not your fault. You did everything you could to help that girl-" "Marley." I cut him off.

He gives me a confused look. Kind of like he was confused as to why I cut him off like that. "Sorry, I just hate it when people talk about others without using their names." I apologize. "Hey, it's fine. You don't need to apologize." Hunter smiles and grabs my hand.

"But, I did tell you that we were gong to win." Hunter states. "Oh, please. If that wouldn't have happened, we would have totally beat your asses." I scoff. "Can you prove that?" He questions. "Yes I can, actually."

[Rose]
Rule number one, is that you gotta have fun

Hunter, by then, has pulled me into a sort of hug. My eyebrows are slightly scrunched as I say it.

But never on your sleeve, unless you wanna taste defeat

When we finish we are looking each other in the eyes. He grabs my waist and pulls me to him, smashing his lips onto mine. My hands find his shoulder and pull him closer, if that's even possible.

We pull away. I smile. "I won." I remark. "If you kiss me like that again, we can call it even." Hunter smiles back. I roll my eyes and connect our lips again. He kisses back for a little while, then pulls away. "Do you want to come to my house? My parents are home, and they want to meet you."

I laugh. "You told them about me?" I inquire. "Yeah." He looks down and blushes. "That's so cute." I say and hug him. "So is that a yes?" He asks. "Yes." I answer.

We turn and begin to walk back to the car. "Wait." Hunter interrupts and I stop and turn to face him. "I know I didn't do anything special, but will you be my girlfriend?" He looks nervous. "Yes." I state and kiss him lightly.

We get back into the car and he begins to drive. "Oh my god, I look awful. I can't go there like this." My eyes widen. "Babe, you look beautiful. They'll love you no matter how you look."

How did I get this kind of luck?
