Ch.17 Big News Part 2

2 Days Later.............................

"Hurry up. Their almost here." Sara said as I the table outside.

She placed the plates perfectly on the table along with the forks and spoons. I brought out the food wrapped in tin foil.

I finished up setting the table as Sara went back inside to get the drinks.

"Brandon, did you get enough?" I asked as he carried the wood to the pile.

"It should be enough." He said as he piled some wood in the fire pit.

"OK, good." I said as Sara put the last cup on the table.

We hung lamps around the table. I heard voices. "Hey." Hailey said as they walked up to us.

"Hailey, darling, your glowing." Sara said as she gave her a hug.

Once we were finished eating we sat around the campfire. "Um, Sara, Brandon, we have something to tell you guys." Hailey said while sitting in Aaron's lap.

"I'm, expecting."

Brandon looked at me. "Expecting what? A ring?" He whispered.

I laughed and everyone looked at me. "No, a baby." I said to him.

Aaron cocked his head at Brandon. "Dude, seriously?" He asked.

Brandon shrugged. "Good for you guys." He quickly said to change the subject.

Sara's eyes were big. She screamed in excitement. "Another grand baby!" She screamed out again. I was shocked to see her like this. I never heard her scream like that.

I could tell she was so happy. "Ahhhh, the "Season" is taking over!" She squealed.

We all started laughing. "Calm down mom." Aaron said to Sara but her face was still lit up.

The rest of the night was fun. Aaron, Brandon and surprisingly Sara was drinking though. The radio played softly in the background as we continued to talk about random different subjects.

One song came on and Sara's face lit up even brighter. "Gypsy" by Stevie Nicks. Brandon stood up and held out his hand. "What?" I asked.

"You are going to dance.......with me." He stumbled.

"Sit down. Your drunk." I told him. He looked at me. He tried to keep his balance but he stumble again.

"No. You are going to dance with me. Both of my ladies." He said as he gabbed my hand along with Sara's.

"No. I don't... want........ to." Sara said as she flopped back down in her seat.

I laughed as he danced with me. "Your so good........ at dancing." He said as he stumbled around.

I kept laughing as he swung me around. Aaron and Hailey did the same. Hailey kept telling Aaron "no" but he made her anyways.

"You don't do this......you hear." Brandon mumbled to me. He stood up on his chair. "Attention! Attention everyone! I'm going to be a dad!" He yelled as he fell back.

"No way! Good for you man." Aaron yelled but Brandon was already passed out.

"I called it! I told you!" Sara yelled as she took another guzzle of her drink.

"That's enough, Sara." I said they her as I took her drink away from her.

"Thank god you did that. Or she would have ended up like Brandon." Hailey said as she laughed.

"Hey, you! We should have another after.......... this. OK?" Aaron shouted at Hailey.

I laughed along with her. "OK, we're going home. Before he can drink himself to sleep." She said as they walked back home.

"Bye!" Sara yelled.

I wasn't sure if I should leave Brandon on the ground or take him inside. But I decided to take him inside so I got my cup of water and dumped it on his face.

"Hey, wake up." I said as I tapped his face with my hand. "Huh?" He mumbled with his eyes still closed.

"Get up. You need to get in bed." I said trying not to laugh at him. I had never seen him like this.

"Why, is it bed time already?" He asked like a little kid. I snickered.

"Yes, it is. Now come on."

"OK." He said as he raised his hand. I pulled him up and helped him in the house. Lucky Sara followed me and passed out on the couch.

I walked Brandon to his bed. "Are you spending the night?" He asked.

"Yes. I'll be right back." I said as I took off his shoes and pulled the blanket over him.

Once he was out I went back outside and put the fire out. I decided it wouldn't hurt to clean up the mess from earlier.

Since everything was taken care of I went and got ready for bed. As soon as I laid down my eyelids got heavy. "Their going to have a nice little head ache in the morning." I thought to myself. It didn't take long before I drifted off to sleep.
