I watched as Sara's body fell to the floor. Tears blurred my vision. I felt so weak. I managed to keep my tears from escaping.

She lay there lifeless. Hailey screamed and cried out Sara's name. My heart broke as Kevin dragged her body outside.

I felt so shattered. Seeing Hailey crying reminded me of what happened. I finally let go of some of my tears.

Kira walked over a few steps and pointed the gun at Hailey's head. Hailey gasped and more tears fell.

"No! Stop! Stop it!" I begged.

She pulled the gun away from Hailey and knelt next to me.

"Would you rather have it be you?" She asked with a smile.

Hailey cried out as Kira pointed the gun in my face. "You know I never understood what Lynn saw in your father. It's too bad she died protecting you. She was a good hunter." She said to me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked her.

"Oh, you still think your mom is alive." She laughed. "No honey, she's not. You see we're all family here. We're all 3 sisters Me, Loraine and Lynn and that nice man that you kicked in the face is our brother Kevin." She explained. "You don't know how long we've been hunting you down. Your mom hid you well but obviously not well enough." She continued.

I must admit I didn't feel surprised. Something about what she said didn't exactly add up. But it cost me Sara. It's my fault. I told her to trust me. And she did.

"Why do hate us so much?" I asked.

She looked into my eyes. "I don't hate you. I even love you a little. Your family, you know, but this is the way of things. You see your dad was considered and animal and your mom was dumb enough to get pregnant by him. Your half animal. I'm simply putting you out of your misery."

I looked down. Half animal? Yeah I was half animal but it wasn't from my father it was from my mom.

"Your right. I am half animal. But my father isn't what makes me half animal. It's you. You said it, we're all family here." I started off.

She smiled. "You are just like her. Tough, and yet you made the same mistake as her."

"And what was that?" I asked.

"You fell in love." She said softly as she dug her thumb in my shoulder wound.

I cried out. My arm was set on fire. I was forced to deal with the pain. "You need to be taught a lesson. As soon as Kevin comes back you'll get that lesson in life."

20 minutes later..............................

"Where the hell is Kevin! Jake, go get Kevin!" She yelled as he went out the door.

What ever was keeping him needed to  keep him there until Brandon and Aaron got back. "Your lucky, I would have killed you both by now but frankly I told Kevin he'd get to."

After a few minutes she got restless. "I'm going to go check on them. Don't go any where." She joked as she walked outside.

I heard a sound and Aaron and Brandon came running through the door. I never thought I'd feel happy in this situation but I did.

I cried when I saw Brandon. They untied us and I threw my arms around him. I felt tears going down my face. I wasn't sure if it was from losing Sara or from seeing Brandon.

"Where's mom?" Aaron asked.

We looked at them both. Hailey shook her head. "What happened? Where is she?" Brandon asked.

"She's gone." Hailey mumbled.

Brandon fell back. He looked so vulnerable. His eyes watered and they fell from his face. It was the first time I ever saw him crying.

I hugged him and as he cried. Aaron looked to the floor. His eyes were watery as well. "No." He said.

"Aaron." I said to him.

"No!" He yelled as he held Hailey. I didn't want tell them but it broke them beyond repair.

Brandon looked up at me. "How?" He asked as he wiped his tears away. I felt my eyes water up. "She was shot in the back of her head."

He took a deep breath. "Where is she?"

"Outside." I told him. He stood up. "Brandon don't."

He still went outside and looked for her. She was laying against a tree. Blood covered her clothes. "I told you she was one of them."

I frowned. "What?"

He looked at her and went in the back yard. He grabbed a shovel and started digging. "I told you she was one of them. I could smell it on her."

The way he said it made me feel like it was my fault. He was right. He did tell me that and I still didn't believe it."Brandon, what are you doing?" I asked.

He wiped away more tears. "Burying her. What do think?" He said as he cut into the soft ground.

"I think it's to early." I said feeling like I was about to cry again.

"And wait for what? For me to feel better. She'll be decomposing by then."

I was shocked at him. "Brandon that's your mother. Don't talk about her like she's nothing." I shouted at him.

He looked at me. His eyes full of sadness and anger. I knew deep down he was right but he knew I was right too. It was too early.

"Just go to bed. You don't need to see this." He told me.

"See what? You digging a hole." I yelled back.

"See me like this. No go back inside!" He growled angrily.

When I went inside I saw the blood trail on the floor. I got out some cleaner and started scrubbing.

I scrubbed for hours. I would go from scrubbing to remembering Sara. I kept hearing her voice. I remembered when we first met.

"Your scared. I get it, your in a strange place. You feel cornered but you shouldn't fear him. He's had his eye on you. He's always had his eye on you but you won't be able to take advantage of it. He never let's his emotions get in the way of his work. He may seem cold and unfriendly but deep down he has a heart. Just make sure you don't break it." She said to me.

It made me want to cry. I was so rude to her then and she was still kind to me. I felt so hurt. I continued to scrub the floor but the stain remained.
