Bitter Sweet(Chapter Six)

*Jason's pov*
"Dude she hasn't came out for a week.. maybe it's time we give her back." My head shot up when I heard Mike say that.
"The hell we will."
"Jason you acted like you didn't want her."
"Well.. I do.. she's mine."
"Jason.." I stood up.
"Look. She WILL be okay!" I went upstairs and opened her door slightly I saw her body laying there under the covers. She looked so peaceful why did I talk and treat her like that? I walked in and walked over where she was her eyes were closed the bruise on her cheek was still there. I made that. I gently touched it making her flitch I took my hand back and crouched down by her face I shook her gently.
"Ava. Wake up."
"Please just leave" she said with her eyes closed.
"No. Now look at me." She opened her eyes they looked so sad.
"What Jason?"
"I want to talk."
"Well I don't want to." she flipped over her back facing me.
"Stop Ava." She got up and started walking to her bathroom.
"Just leave me alone. Just leave like everyone else." I grabbed on to her arm and pulled her close to me.
"Look Ava I didn't mean when I said all that shit. And slapping you was the worse mistake I could ever had made l. Just let me make it up to you."
"Jason I just want someone there for me." I took her in my arms and held her tight I felt my shirt getting wet I knew she was crying that's when I have never seen a girl cry or been her "shoulder to cry on" I pulled her to the bed and let her lay on my chest she just kept crying. She finally stopped and looked up at me.
"I'm so sorry you have to see me like this." She started wiping her face she got up off of me I held on to her hand she looked back at me.
"I don't can't seeing you like this"
"But I don't want to be weak."
"You could never be to weak. Just let me... be there for you." She crawled back on my chest.
"Thank you Jace. For everything." I held her tight and kissed her head. She looked up at me I knew she needed me I placed my hand on her cheek and leaned close to her and kissed her lips I felt her kiss me back instantly. I couldn't lie I had feelings for her but we are two different people but I don't want to give her back. Why couldn't I just keep her forever in my arms? she pulled away and looked at me.
"Stay with me."
"In here?"
"Yes. Please?"
"Of course." She smiled at me and kissed me and pulled back but I wanted to feel her lips on mine I pulled her back to my lips I felt her smile in the kiss. After ten minutes of nothing but kissing I pulled back we both were out of breath she lau her head on mine and looked at me.
"Jason I still have feelings for you."
"And I never lost my feelings for you." Her smile grew bigger making me smile.
"Get some sleep angel." She laid her head on my chest.
"Goodnight Jason." hearing her say my name just made me smile that night I fell asleep actually feeling wanted.

*Ava's pov*
It's been three weeks and Jason has been sleeping in my room and we have gotten so much closer. I woke up to an empty bed I sat up.
"Jason?" silence. I got up and walked downstairs everyone in the gang were sitting in the living room when they heard me coming they looked up I looked over at the door and saw bags sitting there.
"What's going on?"
"Ava you need to come over here and sit down." I walked over to Jason and sat by him placing my hand on his thigh I looked around they all looked stressed.
"Mike... What's going on?"
"You need to go back."
"What do you mean?"
"What he means is that we have to give you back." I looked up at Jason as he finished his sentence he didn't look all that happy.
"But.. Why?"
"Because your dad is getting really aggravated and he is..."
"If I know my dad he is doing everythin he can and is risking everything."
"He is. And I can't risk my guys... so Austin is going to drive and meet your dad." I looked up at Jason he was not happy at all.
"So get your shoes on and tell everyone goodbye-"
"No! I want to stay here. Jason say something!"
"I can't I'm not the boss."
"Well I'm not going."
"Ava your dad will find you and kill my men. You're going."
"No you can't make me." I got up an ran up to my room.
"Austin get her." He ran after me and slammed me against the wall I let out a scream getting Jason's attention he was there by him holding a knife to his throat.
"You better let her go if you know what's best for you."
"I'm just doing what Boss wants."
"Let her fucking go." he placed the knife more on his neck making a mark he released me and Jason opened his arm I ran over to him.
"She has to go Jason!"
"Don't you think I know this!"
"She isn't safe Jason! We got dangerous people after us and now her dad!"
"Shut the fuck up Austin!" I tightened my grip on Jason's shirt.
"I will handle this." He guided my back downstairs I didn't want to let go of him and he knew that.
"Now I see you're back."
"I'm not leaving."
"You have to Ava you're not safe."
"So! I have you guy!"
"Enough! Jason take her now!" I looked up at him he looked down and shook his head.
"Come on." I finally stopped fighting everyone and just followed Jason out to the car I got in and the boys out the bags in the back of the car Jason got in the drivers seat and headed to meet my dad.
We have been the car for an hour and I haven't looked or said one word to him.
"Are you hungry?"
"Not really."
"You need to eat Ava." I just ignored him he stopped at Arby's drive thru ad order us two sandwiches we sat in the car in the parking lot to eat.
"I want to stay... with you Jason."
"Ava.. you can't. You need to go home to your dad and find someone who can actually treat you like the way you deserve."
"I don't want it Jason! I don't want to leave you."
"Ava. We are two different people. We would have never worked out anyways."
"You don't know that Jason." he looked down at his sandwich.
"You deserve someone who can show you the world, someone who will be there for you, someone who isn't a...... monster."
"You are not a monster Jason!" He looked up at me I took his face in my hands.
"You are just as human as me. You made some bad choices but that doesn't mean you are a monster. You deserve to be happy and we make each other happy."
"Ava we can't ever be together okay!? I need to get you to your dad now." I didn't let go of his face I could tell he was a little mad but apart of me felt like he didn't mean it I leaned in towards him I felt his body stiff up. We were close enough I could whisper to him.
"Kiss me." He licked his lips but tried to pull away from me but I couldn't let go.
"Ava... I can't-"
"Shhh nobody has to know." I leaned closer my lips hovering over his, his body was so stiff was he nervous around me?
"Relax Jason." I kissed his lips softly I didn't feel him kiss back so I started pulling away that when I felt him kiss back and his hands on my cheeks. I smiled in the kiss I made my way to his lap. His arms around my waist and mine around his neck I didn't care he was a criminal I didn't want to leave him I needed to be there for him. We pulled apart and leaned out heads on each others.
"We need to leave now."
"You're still going to give me up like that?"
"Yes." I was kinda hurt by his answer I went back to my seat and put my seat belt on and my feet in my seat and looked out the window. He started the car and once again we were off to where we were meeting my dad.
I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up Jason wasn't in the car I looked around and saw my dad's cop car and him and his partner Sam. I got out of the car and looked around I saw my dad and then Sam placing cuffs on Jason.
"Dad!"
"Ava!" I ran over to him he grabbed me and picked my up he wrapped his arms around me I wrapped my around him even though I wanted to stay with Jason I did miss my dad we were both crying. He sat me down he wipe my tears.
"Are you okay Ava? Did he hurt you?"
"No daddy he was actually the one who never said or did a mean thing to him. Why are you taking him?"
"He is a criminal."
"No dad he isn't."
"Ava.. he helps those guys. Sure he isn't wanted or have a record but we need to take him."
"Please let him go.... Please." my voice cracked I looked up at my dad and back at Sam who put him in the cop car already.
"Sam get him out."
"Okay?" he walked over and got Jason out and walked him over to my dad and me.
"Ava says you were the only one who was nice to her while she was taken.."
"Yeah.. I just didn't want her to be scared and for her to know she had a friend in the house."
"Thank you son." he walked behind Jason and took the cuffs off of him Jason looked shocked.
"I'm letting you go. Take this as a wake up call and get your head straight son. You don't need to associate with them no more. Thank you for taking care of my baby girl."
"Thank you sir. And I will and it was no problem.. she actually kept me company."
"I'll let you guys say your goodbyes."
"Okay thanks dad." he kissed my forehead and walked over to Sam and waited in the car.
"Thanks Ava."
"No problem Jason.. Please listen to my dad's words okay? He knows what he is talking about. You deserve better." I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. At first I didn't feel his arms but then they slowly wrapped around me.
"Please take care of yourself Jason. Thank you for everything I will never forget what you did for me.. and you will always have a place in my heart." I was holding back my tears I hated saying goodbye to people.
"You need to take care for yourself as well Ava. And you will always have a place in my heart and this isn't goodbye."
"I have a feeling it is Jason."
"Yeah... me too."
"I have to go now.." I pulled away and looked down at my feet.
"Just promise me you won't do anything crazy okay?"
"No promises."
"Jason."
"I will try okay?"
"Okay." I kissed his cheek and walked to the car leaving him standing there was the hardest thing I have had to do. I got in and we drove off to the station.
