Goodbye and New Start(Chapter Nine)

I woke up the next morning and took a shower since I had to go meet up with Alex. I stepped out and wrapped my towel around my body and went into my walk in closest and grabbed my sweatshirt and leggings. I slipped on my leggings and sat down at my vanity I started doing my hair and makeup. I turned around to grabbed my phone and practically ran into Jason stumbling back and a bit startled.
"Jason. I didn't hear you come in. What are you doing here?"
"I want to know who that guy is and why you're meeting with him today."
"Jason you don't have to know everything little thing I do. We're not together.. you made the very clear."
"Ava who is he."
"A friend." I turned back towards my vanity but he grabbed my arm and pulled me into his chest I looked up at him.
"Let go of me now."
"Ava stop acting so..."
"So what? Cold?"
"Yeah cold like... You don't care about me."
"Well maybe I shouldn't since you don't care about me."
"Ava I do but..."
"Well you have a funny way of showing it." I tried to pull away but he just pulled me tighter.
"Jason I will scream for my dad."
"He isn't home."
"Let me go and leave. You're good at that." He looked down at me I looked up at him he placed his on my cheek and another one around my waist so I couldn't pull away. I placed one hand on his chest and another on his face rubbing his cheek.
"Jason you need to stop giving me mix signals. I'm in a relationship with a good guy."
"Is he better than me?"
"Jason... that's not a question."
"Look I know he is and I know he can give you the world. But I just let you go.."
"Jason if you want to be in my life you need to be in my life all the time and not when you feel like it."
"But I cant."
"Then you have to let me go.. now."
"No. I can't. I won't."
"Then I will. Goodbye Jason." I got out of his grip and opened my widow for him and sat back at my vanity and started my makeup again.
"Ava... Please."
"Be safe please."
"Ava..."
"Goodbye."
I heard him let out a sigh and then I watched him walk over to the window and he sat down and looked back at me.
"Goodbye Ava"
With that he was gone part of me wanted to beg for him to stay but another par told me it was or the best.
I was paid for my coffee and walked out to the park across the street and sat on a bench waiting for Alex.
"I didn't think you were going to show." I turned around and saw Alex with his good up and sunglasses on.
"Something told me to come." I stood up an walked over to him.
"Well come on we need to go for a talk and ride."
"Alex..."
"Trust me. I am the one that will protect you." I looked at him he reached out his hand I looked down at it and took it we walked over to his nice ass black Ferrari he opened the door up for me.
"Nice ride."
"Only the best for you." I got in the car and he shut my door and walked over to the drivers side and started driving.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see princess."
We finally got to a nice quiet place I looked around when he turned the car off.
"Alex.. where am I?"
"My little place I like to go when I need time alone."
"Okay, so tell me what we need to talk about."
"Look you are in danger. And I need to keep you safe."
"My dad can keep me safe."
"These guys aren't the guys your dad can keep away from you. They will find you and kill you and won't stop till they get you."
"Why are they after me?"
"Because you are a Channing and your dad has done a lot of things and you're the only one they will know will hurt your dad if something happens to you.
"Alex what about my dad?"
"They tried to get him before hit have up because they figured out he had a daughter."
"So what do I need to do for you so you will protect me?"
"I want you to join me and my gang?"
"I won't kill nobody Alex."
"I know sweetheart and I don want you to. I want you to be my secretary and my right hand man kinda."
"What will I do besides being your secretary?"
"Like help me with missions like if I have a problem with a guy I need you to distract them while I do what I have to do." I looked at him then down at my hands.
"Alex I don't know."
"Ava I'm your only choice."
"Okay. I will.."
"I'm really glad to hear that. I know you have prom tomorrow and you graduate next week so you don't have to do anything till you graduate."
"Okay Alex. What do I tell my dad when I leave?"
"That you are going out with you friends for awhile."
"Okay. And these people aren't going to hurt him right?"
"Right."
"Thank you Alex... for everything."
"No problem princess." he smiled at me I smiled back up at him.
"Well I'm going to take you back to your car."
"Okay sounds good."
We started driving again till he got a call.
"Hello?... what do you mean he won?.... he took what?... okay okay I'm on my way don't touch a damn thing." he hung up and did a u turn.
"Alex what's wrong?"
"I have an emergency. You have to come with me."
"Okay." He drove so fast Over the speed limit but I wasn't worried we pulled up to this nice ass warehouse he opened the door for me and took my hand we ran up to the house we opened the door and it was trashed there was glass everywhere and everything.
"James what the hell happen?"
"Someone busted in here and trashed the place and took a couple guns." He looked at me I looked at Alex.
"Follow me Ava."
"Okay."
We walked around the house he was a mess I was looking around and then I found something on the ground.
Alex what is this?" I picked up a mans gold bulky ring. I handed it to him.
"It's this guys ring... That son of a bitch!"
"Alex who is it?"
"One of the guys that we don't get along with. His gang is not you don't want to mess with."
"What's going to happen now?"
"We are going to find him and teach him a lesson.. can you help us?"
"Alex tonight... I don't know what to do or have anything."
"Ava we will get you want you need you have to help us he killed my sister I need to get him back. Please." I looked into his eyes and down at y feet then back up at him.
"I'm your girl." he smiled at me and hugged me I hugged him back.
"Thank you so much I will have one of guys get you an outfit okay?"
"Okay sound good."
What could if her right? I already told him I would join beside he's keeping me safe.
