Finally(Chapter twenty-four)

-Jason's POV-
I haven't seen Ava in two weeks and it's driving me crazy I was outside talking to some other people then I saw Nathan walk out I had to talk to him.

I walked over to him and stood near him.
"Where's Ava Nathan?" He stood up and looked around and then down. "She had the baby Jason." I looked up at him with a shock expression. "How is she? Is she healthy? How's Ava?" "Calm down McCann they are both okay she's home resting she will be in here tomorrow I think to show her off to the officers." "Do you think she will let me see her?" He looked up at me. "You are her father McCann." I smiled at that thought. "Thank you Nathan." "I love her Jason I mean I really love her and I want to marry her I want Kolby to grow up happy and healthy." "But I'm her father she needs me." "You aren't getting out till six years Jason she is going to be so confused she will be six years old when you meet her. Do you really want her to grow up not knowing what her life is? At least with me she will know her life is stable and safe." I looked down knowing he was right. "But I love her and want her to know I love her and I want Ava." "She will know you love her... you can be her uncle or something." "No I'm her father Nathan." He looked over at me. "Well Ava is marring me wether you like it or not." With thy he walked away from me. I will get Ava back one way or another.

-Ava's POV-
I woke to Kolby crying motherhood was hard but she is worth it. "Good morning precious girl." I picked her up and walked her into the nursery since it was four in the morning to change her diaper and feed her. I was breast feeding her and rocking her in the chair. "You are going to go to work with mommy today and maybe see your daddy today." She looked up at me with her beautiful brown eyes she got them from Jason. "You're going to love him I know he will love you. Probably want to take you and keep you." She closed her eyes and was soon back to sleep since it was already five I stayed up to take a shower I didn't have a lot of baby weight so I slimmed back down to weight fast which relived me. I got dressed in a business savvy red shirt dress with black heels and curled my hair one thing about Kolbs she was a good sleeper. I was putting my makeup on and Nathan came up behind me and kissed my cheek making me smile.

"Good morning baby." "And good mornings handsome man." I got up and kissed his lips. "You ready to go back?" "Yeah just need to get Kolbs dressed and get her stuff ready." "Okay." He started to get dressed. I dressed Kolby in a leopard print white dress and leggings with a big bow on a headband and socks I placed her in her leopard print car seat and her leopard print blanket that said Diva in rhinestones my friend got made for her I got her diaper bag ready and got a bottle of water and Nathan was ready so he headed to work.

"Oh my gosh she's so precious Ava!" I smiled at Stacy and everyone else that surrounded sleeping Kolby. "Thank you so much guys and thanks for letting me bring her." "oh no problem sweetie." Rachel said as she put hand sanitizer on an handing it to Stacy I picked Kolby up and handed her to Rachel. "Oh she's so little and weightless." "She only weighted four pounds." "Wow she looks like she has gotten a little more longer since we saw her in the hospital." "Yeah I think she's grown a little." She started to get fussy so Stacy handed me back to her I grabbed a blanket and placed it over me and her so I could feed her. "That's good you're breast feeding." "Yeah it's suppose to be better." "Well we are going to let you feed her. We will come back later." "Okay girls see later." They turned the light on low so it was quiet for her.

She finished eating so I placed her in her bassinet I brought for her so I could get some classes done. I just finished the classes done around 12:30pm I got up and walked over to her she was just looking around I smiled down at her and kissed her head I picked her up and covered her up in a blanket. As I was getting her settled I heard a knock.

"Come in." I heard footsteps which sounded like two. "Ava I brought someone." I turned around and saw Nathan standing there with Jason he in cuffed him and sat him down in the chair. "Don't mess this up McCann. I don't have to do this." "I understand." I walked over to Nathan and walked him out. "Thank you Nathan." He kissed my cheek and looked down at Kolby and kissed her head I closed the door and turned back around to Jason who hasn't moved. I walked back to my chair still holding Kolby. "It's good to see you Jason." He didn't say anything. I sat back a little and looked down at Kolby. "She's going to fall asleep soon so if you want to hold her come do so." "I- I can't..." I stood up and walked over to the couch he followed I slowly placed her small fragile body in his big strong hands. "She's so small... was she sick?" "No baby she's just little she only weighted four pounds." "Wow. She loos a lot like me and you." "I know I love it." He looked down at her I could see the tears in his eyes. He looked over at me and smiled. "We made this. We made this prefect little girl." Hearing him say that made me and emotionally happy I smiled and felt the tears. "Yes we did. She is our angel." I leaned over and kissed him and laid my head in the crest of his neck. "I'm going to be the best dad ever Kolby. I love you so much and I promise I'm going to turn my life around for you and your mom because you two are the most important people in my life right now." I looked up at him and kissed his jaw line. She slowly fell asleep I was about to take her. "No it's fine I want to put her in her bed." He got up and placed her in her bassinet before kissing her head. He came back and sat down by me I smiled he looked over at him and smiled.
"What?"
"Nothing you're just so good with her and she's grateful to have you." I placed my hand on his cheek and rubbed it with my thumb.
"Ava you're a great mom and our little girl is so lucky to have you." I leaned closer to him and whispered. "She is our little miracle and we're lucky to have her." I kissed his lips softly.
"I love you Ava Channing." I smiled at him. "And I love you too Jason McCann." He kissed my nose softly. "So do want to know her full name?" "Yes I do baby." I leaned back a little and started running my finger through his hair. "Kolby Amanda Channing... McCann." I looked over at him he had tears in his eyes. "Jason are you okay?" "Yeah I'm okay it's just you gave her my last name" "Yes because you are her father and deserve that." He grabbed my face and kissed me. "I love you Ava and Kolby. I want us to be a family... A real family." "Oh Jason I would love that too but what about Nathan? I can't raise her for six years on my own she needs a stable life." "She will just not right now." "Jason please just live in this moment please?" Okay angel." He kissed me again and walked over to Kolby and picked her up just to hold her.
