Class was over and (y/n) shot out of her desk and ran away.
"Hey (y/n)! Wait up!" I yelled and she stoped and turned around.
"Yes?" She said holding her books tightly.
"What you did in there I just wanted to say thank you. That was uh very heroic of you." I said probably turning red.
"Heroic? Me? No way." She started to walk very fast.
I touched her shoulder and it's almost like her dark façade melted away.
"Why couldn't you be heroic?" I asked gently as she turned to look at me.
"Because I'm not that type of person. There are people who save people and people who don't and I'm the part of the people who don't." She said almost as she didn't want to be that way.
"Somehow I feel you don't want to believe that."
"Peter please..." she said softly looking down at the ground.
"I know you (y/n)-"
She stopped me
"Peter you don't know me. You don't okay!?" She yelled "I have to go. I'll see you around."
She walked away.
I let out a deep breath and hit a locker. Why is she so complicated!?
Suddenly I got a call.
"Mr. Stark?"
"I need you to come here now."
"But I can't just leave school."
"I opened the file."
"I'll be right there."I ended the call and ran outside to put my suit on.
When my suit was on I webbed myself up-state to Mr. Starks new tower.
"I came as fast as I could!" I yelled as I ran into his lab.
"Do you know a (y/n)?" Tony said not even looking at me, but at the computer.
"Yeah why?"
He rolled his seat close to me.
"Does she go to your school and is she a very good friend of yours?" He asked almost sarcastically and I was confused.
"Well I mean I've only known her for like two days-but w-why do you ask?" I said as I crossed my arms.
He looked down and sighed as he moved the computer screen into my vision.
"No." I said softly
"Kid listen-"
"No! No no no no! That's not true! That can't be true!" I said pacing around his lab, almost in tears
"Peter-" Tony got out of his seat
"No it's not true! It's not true!" I yelled.
"Peter stop!" He yelled grabbing my shoulders
I just shook my head, crying "no...no..."
"I'm sorry kid."
He hugged me for the first time ever and I just hugged him and cried. He let go of me and patted my back.
"Here sit down." He said pointing to a chair.
I sat down and he grabbed a chair and put it in front of me.
"I know this must be hard for y-"
"Why would she do this to me!?"
"Well she's a HYDRA agent-"
"She's a HYDRA agent!? This can't be happening! So-so everything she's told me was a lie? Sh-she doesn't care about me!?"
"Peter I'm sorry."
I wiped my tears away "what are we going to do?"
"Nothing." Tony said as he got out of his chair.
"Wait, nothing!? We have to do something!"
"No you aren't going to do anything. Just pretend like everything is normal. We'll handle this."
"That's what you said last time."
"Kid, HYDRA is a whole other ball park. This girl is a trained assassin and could kill you in an instant if she wanted to."
"Then why didn't she do it? That night with the knife?"
"I don't know. Most HYDRA agents don't have emotions...maybe you are changing her."
"You think?"
"No, that probably just wasn't her mission."
"Why are you joking about this!? A girl I thought was my friend almost killed me."
"But she didn't."
"But she could have."
"But she didn't. If she wanted to kill you she would have."
"D-do you think I could be changing her?" I asked looking down at the white marbled floor.
"I don't know kid...now go back to school we'll figure this out."
"Okay...thank you Mr. Stark."
"Yeah yeah." He waved his hand and started to work on the computer.
I walked out of the tower confused and my head felt like it was going to explode.
I thought she was my friend...I thought that she liked-nevermind...
