"Oh look we're here." Peter said jumping up.
I got up as well and we walked out of the bus.
Just walking into the building there were kids everywhere. Some were talking, some were kissing, and some where giving me dirty looks. Do they know what I'm doing!? They must be spies as well.
I looked at them and scowled which made them turn away. I could be very intimidating.
"So this is pretty much it." Peter said as we walked up the stairs into the school.
"So many teenagers."
He laughed "yeah. Your school must've been smaller in Maine huh?"
"Yeah..."
I've never actually seen a teenager before, besides myself so seeing hundreds of them in one building was kinda weird.
"So what's your first class?" Peter asked me as he looked at his own class schedule.
I opened up my backpack and found a white sheet of paper.
"I have AP Chemistry first." I said looking at my schedule.
"Huh...so do I. We can walk there together. If you want."
"Yeah sure." I said still looking at my paper
Little did I know while I was doing that he looked at me, gripping his backpack tightly and smiled at the floor.
"And here we are!" Peter said pointing his hand to the door.
"Great." I said trying to smile.
I don't ever smile so smiling felt really awkward to me.
We walked into the class and saw tables set up everywhere and there was only one table with two seats left.
"Well I guess we're lab partners." Peter said as he sat down at the table.
I nodded my head and sat down as well.
"Good morning class today we will be-blah blah blah..." is what I heard when the teacher started talking. The only thing I could think of was trying to figure out a way to destroy Peter Parker without him knowing.
Peter glanced over at me and noticed I wasn't listening. He nudged me in the arm, snapping me back to reality.
"Psst are you listening? This stuff is crazy hard I don't want you to get behind."
I looked at him "I won't."
He sighed and started taking notes in his blue notebook "okay..."
The whole time I was zoned out and Peter knew it. He would cough or nudge me on "accident" to make sure I was listening. It was quite annoying but somehow it showed me that he cared about others just like a superhero.
"I know it's only the first class but I wanted to see what you guys already know. So..." the teacher started to hand out a quizzes to everyone while they moaned.
Peter's eyes went wide "were you listening (y/n)?"
"Um...no, but I'll do just fine." I smiled
He sighed and without looking handed me the quiz.
I grabbed it from his hands and scoffed. This was stuff I learned when I was ten. If this is what Americans call hard then I must be able to do their easy in my sleep."Done." I whispered.
Peter looked up from his paper surprised that I finished.
