saturdays are bad. really bad. or at least taylor feels so. while all of her friends had something fun to do, she was stuck in her penthouse all alone, with her two cats who paid no mind to her.
it was past lunchtime and all taylor did so far was lounge on the couch wearing baggy sweatpants and a t-shirt that was atleast nine years old. she didn't even eat a decent lunch, she heated up leftovers and that too was such a chore because she felt very lazy. today was indeed a bum day for her.
she tried watching tv, she realised that she had already watched everything that was on, thanks to her having to do nothing over the break.
reading a book exhausted her after five chapters, it strained her lazy mind and she decided to put the book aside and continue sleeping.
her mind and body had become so tired and immobile, she didn't have the energy to finish up the song she had been working on.
even the cats lost interest in their tired and bored human.
"i bought you guys so you could give me company, you know." she says to the cats who didn't understand a thing she just said and continue moving around the house, finding some new object to busy themselves with.
taylor almost considers taking a walk, but that would mean getting spotted in public and she wasn't ready for that yet. she was on a break and her fans were literally worried sick about her whereabouts. going out of the apartment meant pictures, and although that would make her fans happy she didn't want to go back into the spotlight. she had been hiding for months now and she's still somehow always in the news.
she wanted a break.
and so far, the one she took was quite boring.
but sitting alone, getting bored out of her mind wasn't fun either.
karlie.
karlie was busy, she was doing so many things nowadays and on some days she gets busier than taylor does during album promotion time. she misses karlie. they last saw each other one month ago when the younger girl showed up to give her a hug before going to the gym. these little things made up for their lack of intimate contact lately. karlie was just so busy.
the younger girl was back in the city but was so busy to even come see her girlfriend, she had called several times and constantly apologised for not being able to see her. taylor wasn't even sure if she was going to see karlie before she left for miami early the next morning for some early birthday celebrations along with her sisters.
"you know what olivia? i'm gonna call karlie and i know she's probably busy but i'm gonna do it anyway." taylor mentally tells herself that she's borderline crazy for still trying to talk to her cats, who totally do not speak human.
she grabs her phone from the coffee table and is about to call karlie when she hears her front door opening. apart from herself, the only people with the keys to this place were her security and karlie. who could it possibly be out of the two?
and taylor was delighted when she found out who it was.
"karlie!" she nearly tackles her super tall girlfriend to the ground.
"hey, easy." karlie laughs as she kisses her girlfriend. they're both laughing and that ended up with their teeth clashing while trying to kiss.
"i was going to call you thirty seconds ago." taylor says, settling into karlie's embrace as they both sit cuddled up on taylor's couch that they both happen love a lot.
"aren't you glad i showed up?" karlie flashes her bright sunshine smile that the older girl had grown to love.
"yes, it's so rare to see you these days, you're so busy." taylor frowns. she is proud of karlie's achievements, she really is, but they see each other a lot less despite being in the same city. "how was your world tour?" she asked with a small grin covering her lips.
