Love or hate

I saw you walking beside her. You turned around and looked at me and I looked back. For those two seconds I felt like we were the only two on this earth. But then you turned around, put your arms around her, and kissed her. I turned my face and ran. Away from you, away from your eyes, your everything. I had to run so that I didn't get traped.

I ran home thinking I would forget everything, but I was wrong. I thought about you even more. I cried out my eyes all afternoon. I cried into the night. Couldn't fall asleep because I woke up in the middle of the night screaming from a dream of you.

Six months ago

"Heyy!" I jumped away from my locker and dropped my books at the sound of my name being yelled across the hall. It was the new kid Erick.

"Hey, you're Jessica right?"

"Yeah, and you're erick?"

"The one and only," he said while he smiled that half smile that boys always do to charm a girl. Well to bad for me it worked. "What are you doing at school this late?" I asked, tempted to start conversation. He rolled his eyes "I got detention by Mr.Dwart. Stunned I asked "oooo what you do to get himmmm mad?"

Erick smiled his wicked, beautiful half smile-which made my stomach twist and turn-and laughed.
