The next week was weird. Reese and I barely talked and when we did, it was awkward as hell. We were doing a teenager version of "soooooooo how's that weather been?". It sucked ass.
Oh, we also can't forget how Malcolm and Nikki are parading around their damn relationship. I wanted to smack their heads into walls 98% of the time.
"Hey, Jaydeeeee," Nikki called as I walked past her and Malcolm in the parking lot.
"Shut up," I said as I kept walking.
"Jayde," I heard Reese call from behind me.
I spun around and waited for him to catch up with me.
"Hey," He said, smiling at me.
"Hey," I replied softly.
"You still like him," Reese said as we walked down the sidewalk.
I turned towards him and tried to glare at him.
It didn't work very well.
Instead of glaring, I ended up crying.
"I thought so. Come here," Reese said, pulling me into a hug.
"It's not fair," I cried.
"He's stupid, Jayde. For a genius, he's really stupid," He chuckled, hugging me tight.
I sniffed and gently pulled away from him.
"I can't do this with you," I said, looking up at him.
"I know you can't, Jayde. It's okay, I promise," Reese said, smiling a little.
"I'm sorry," I cried, starting to cry all over again.
"Hey, hey, don't worry, I'm not leaving you, Jayde. I'm not mad, I swear," He said, brushing my hair back from my face.
"Please be there for me," I said, sniffling.
"I always will, Jayde. I promise," Reese said.
"Now go make my brother regret ever leaving you."
