The Unexpected Happens

Chapter 27

Justin’s P.O.V

~~ 3:45 p.m ~~

“Justin, you’ve got company...” I heard the doctor say in a whisper-like voice while opening the door, revealing a beautiful girl.

My heart skipped a beat when I got a glimpse of Jenny’s gorgeous face.

Even though I was dying and excited to see her again, there was a hint of sadness and disappointment in her eyes.

I welcomed her with open arms as she literally ran in and hugged me tight.

She hugged me so tight, the pain in my lower chest became excruciating. I couldn’t help but let out a small yelp.

Jenny suddenly stopped and released me, reveling the tears that were rapidly taking over her golden brown eyes.

“S-sorry... I-I didn’t... mean...” She managed to say between her sobs.

“Sh-shhh...” I calmly whispered into her ear while I slowly pulled a crying and devastated Jenny on to my hurt chest. But I didn’t care about the pain right now.

I watched as Jenny cried into my shirt, getting it all damped from her tears.

I pulled her closer, if that was even possible, and began rubbing the back of her head, managing to relax her...

“I’ll leave you two alone...” The doctor said as he stepped out of the hospital room, disappearing into the darkness...

Jenny’s P.O.V

I cried for what seemed like hours into Justin’s warm and hurt chest.

Why am I so self-centered? I could’ve just let him rest in the bus, and none of this would’ve happened!

I started crying even more when that thought penetrated my mind, causing Justin to pull me closer, trying to make me feel safe and sound.

Which I did...

“J-Justin...?” I said still crying like a baby.

“Yes?” He asked with his eyes full of sadness and guilt.

“I’m s-so, sorry...” I said leaning into his chest once again.

“It’s ok Jenny... None of this was your fault.” He said resting his forehead on my head.

“Yes it was! If I would’ve just let you rest in the tour bus, you would’ve been fine for your concert! But instead I only thought about myself! And now you’re stuck in here!” I snapped.

Justin’s eyes had both a hint of shock and sadness, as if he was startled by me snapping at him, but also sad because I was blaming myself.

“Jenny... Please...” He said in a soothing tone trying to calm me down.

He began stroking my brown hair with his soft warm hands, finally calming me down a bit...

He then pulled me into a hug, and let out a whisper-like yelp as I came in contact with his chest area...

I suddenly pulled away, trying to make him avoid the pain.

“What’s wrong Jen?” He asked with a confused look.

“It’s just that... You’re hurt because of me, and now I can’t even hug you because you’ll feel pain!” I said trying to keep in the tears that were fighting to burst out of my eyes.

“No, no Jenny... Don’t say that... The pain is nothing. Don’t worry about it. I could care less, I swear!” He said giving me a half smile.

I gave him a small fake smile in return, trying to seem happy, which I wasn’t.

“What about your tour?” I asked wiping some of the tears that managed to escape from my eyes.

“Well, I guess we’ll have to put that on hold for now... I mean, I can’t go out on stage with such an injury... Not that it really bothers me or anything.” He said looking down as if he was sad.

I just sighed looking down as well.

I know Justin and dad say this is not my fault, but I can’t help on thinking that...! I mean, Justin didn’t sleep all night long, and I just had to keep him awake! I always screw EVERYTHING! I’m a total SCREW-UP!

A few more tears rolled down my cheeks as I said that to myself...

I guess Justin noticed because it wasn’t long before he pulled me into another hug.

I wanted so much to hug back, but couldn’t... Knowing it would just cause him pain. And I can’t live with myself if I ever cause him more pain than I already have...
