"Scott Braun?" I repeated to make sure I pronounced it right.
"Um, yeah" Scott said in a low voice.
After about 5 seconds of silence, Scott gave me a 'don't you know who I am?' look
I just decided to ignore it just incase that wasn't what he was trying to communicate.
Eventually I started a conversation because there was an akward silence among us.
I really didn't know who this guy was but he seemed pretty decent after a few minutes of chatting with him.
I kinda gained his trust but I didn't want to get into details about mine or my daughter's personal life...
I really wanted to know why he was being so descrete, and why he had sunglasses and a hood on.
C'mon Henry! Why are you having so much trouble talking to this guy? Are you sure you're not 5? My concious said to my in my head...
"Uh... well um..." I said in a nervous tone.
He looked at me as he took a sip out of his hot chocolate.
I hesitated to talk, but I finally had the guts to ask...
"Well, um... Why exactly are you wearing a hood and umm... sunglasses?" I asked
He was about to answer but many papparazzi started showing up outside. People in the cafe started taking out their phones taking pictures and videos towards our direction. I was confused...
"Was it something I said?" I asked in confusion.
It got very wierd when many girls started showing up banging on the windows and doors...
Scott grabbed my wrist making me drop my coffee and then handed out a $20 bill and gave it to the lady who took our order.
"Hey, I was supposed to pay!" I said while being dragged by Scott through the back door.
"Where's your car?!" He asked keeping a low profile
"Uh, um... I didn't exactly bring my car here..." I said somewhat embarrased.
Man I was feeling like a child with this guy, but he was cool...
"Shoot!" He said in a low voice so that no one would here him.
"Why are you acting so wierd around all those papparazzi? It's not like they're here for us are they?" I asked in confusion.
"Shhhhhh!" He said as he pulled me back to a corner.
We then saw a wave of papparazzi with their cameras running towards Starbuck's.
"Shoot! We gotta go NOW!" He said trying to keep a low profile once again.
He pulled me again on my wrist and ran over to a taxi that was parked in the next lot.
Scott slammed the door open and pulled me in.
The taxi driver looked at us in confusion, as if we were crazy or something...
"Where do you live?" Scott asked trying not to seem to frustrated
"What? I just met you! I can't just give you my adress!" I said in a somewhat louder tone.
"Just tell my your damn address or we're gonna get swarmed!" He said while shaking me.
"Alright, aright!" I told him my address considering that I kinda trusted him after our chat in Starbuck's.
Scott told the taxi driver my house address and practically shoved a $100 bill in the man's face.
"Man, this guy must be rich or something!" I thought to myself... "I mean, who gives a $100 bill to a taxi drver just for a 5 minute drive?!?" I thought to myself once again.
Before I could think of anything else, we were already speeding thorugh the streets of Miami.
I saw Scott lean back in his seat as he let out a deep sigh, as if he was relieved. But I don't get it... Why were those papparazzi after us?
~ 5 minutes later ~
We finally arrived at home and Scott thanked the taxi driver as he drove away. He took a look at my house, and I just decided to invite him inside considering the situation.
It was about 10:30 a.m
I invited Scott inside and he took a seat on the couch in the living room.
I excused myself for a minute to go see how Jenny was doing.
I headed upstairs to her room and found myself outside her door.
I didn't bother to knock considering I never actually do, oh well...
She was asleep on her bed, and I didn't want to wake her up just wanting her to enjoy her Saturday.
Man, she looks just like her mother when she was asleep. I miss her...
I then remembered Scott was downstairs probably waiting for me.
I rushed down the stairs to find Scott talking over the phone with someone, I just didn't know who...
I waited until Scott finally finished talking and hung-up.
"I hope you don't mind, but I decided to invite a friend of mine over."
I was pretty disappointed he didn't consult with me before inviting a random person to my house, but I didn't want to seem rude so I just nodded to let him know I was ok with it...
"Great" he smiled and sat back down on the couch.
I sat on the couch opposite from him and we started chatting.
~ 10 minutes later ~
We then heard a knock on the door...
"Oh, that must be him" Scott said as he stood up to answer the door.
"No" don't worry, I'll get it" I insisted.
"Very well" he sat back down on the couch making himself comfortable.
I just sighed.
I didn't bother to even ask who it was and opened the door.
I found myself shocked when I realized who it was...
