The Unexpected Happens

Chapter 12

Justin's P.O.V

"She's coming on tour with us?!" I asked not believing what I was hearing

"Yes." Scooter said while smiling at me

"Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!!!" I literally screamed while hugging Scooter tightly.

"I-I... can't b-b... breathe..." Scooter chocked out between breaths...

"Oh, uh... Sorry..." I said while letting Scooter go and then scratching the back of my head...

Scooter than took a deep breath

I patted Scooter softly on the back to calm him down

"I'm ok... I'm ok Justin..." He said in between breaths once again.

"Oh, just making sure..." I chuckled

"Haha, very funny Justin... But I think I'm too old for a babysitter..." Scooter said while looking at me

"Ha! Well you are getting pretty old" I joked

He then gave me a serious look... It was pretty scary, so I just decided to take him seriously... I really didn't want him having second thoughts about having Jenny come on tour with me... Though I didn't really care about Henry...

Wait... Is Henry coming too?!

Oh crap!

My expression went from a happy smile, to a slight frown

"Something wrong?" Scooter asked

"Oh, uh... Well..." I said hesitantly

Scooter furrowed an eyebrow in confusion

I just looked back at him as my frown grew bigger by the second...

Scooter than sat on the edge of the bed and crossed his arms

"Come on Justin, talk to uncle Scooter..." Scooter joked while patting his lap

I chuckled at the thought of me actually 'sitting' on Scooters lap

Scooter kept on patting his lap signaling me to sit on it

I just shook my head while chuckling

"Ahhh... Fine..." Scooter sighed

I just sat next to him on the edge of the bed

He looked at me waiting for an answer, or at least for something to come out of my mouth

I looked back at him while taking a big breath...

"Look, um... Scooter?" I asked kinda nervously

"Yeah?" He said

"I-I... I'm really happy and thankful that you invited Jenny to come along with us for my tour... But, um..." I said while scratching the back of my head

Scooter gave me a confused look

"I just wanted to know if, um..." I said not wanting really to ask the question

"Justin, come on. Just spit it out!" Scooter chuckled while playfully hitting my shoulder

I suddenly felt a little more comfortable...

"Well, um... I wanted to know if Henry was coming along too..." I said almost scared

Scooter just starred at me

He then sighed...

"Yes" Scooter said plainly

I just looked down and started playing with my fingers

"Look, uh... Justin... I'm very sorry but, if Henry doesn't come then Jenny won't either..." Scooter said looking down at his feet as well

I really wanted Jenny to come with me on tour, but... Henry... Uh... not so much... But I just don't get it. Why would Scooter ask Henry on tour the exact same day he met him? Not that I don't want Jenny to tag along, but I just find it weird... Specially for Scooter. He usually is the one with the 'trust issues'... I thought to myself

I just decided to ask him, considering it was killing me inside...

"Scooter?"

"Yes Justin?" He said while looking at me

"Why did you ask Henry to come on tour with us? I mean... You just met him today..." I managed to say without hesitating

Scooter just sighed...

"Look Justin..." He said looking down to his feet once again

I looked at him letting him know I was listening

"From the moment you laid eyes on Jenny... I uh... I noticed you really liked her"

I widened my eyes while raising an eyebrow

"Justin, listen... I know this sounds cheesy, but I can read you like a book"

He said while crossing his arms

I just rolled my eyes

"Justin, don't roll your eyes at me" He said

I crossed my arms while looking at him

"Justin... As your manager, I want the best for you, and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible on tour and on stage..." "And I thought that maybe... Just maybe... If you and Jenny get together, you could feel happier, and take your mind off all the hate and anything that stands in your way..."

I just grinned at him while unfolding my arms

"Wow, I really didn't know Scooter cared so much for me" I suddenly felt much more confident and relieved...

"Thank you Scooter..." I said while smiling even bigger

I gave him a hug and patted his back

"You're welcome son..." He said while smiling as well

I couldn't help but to smile even bigger (If that was even possible) because I was so happy.

There was then an awkward silence that crept among us

"So, uh..." Scooter said a few seconds later finally breaking the silence

"You should probably get going to your room..." Scooter said still grinning

"Oh, uh... yeah." I said smiling too

Scooter patted my back as I headed out his hotel room...

I swear I couldn't be any happier right now...!
