I woke up to the sound of my shower running. Memories of last night flooding back to me making my cheeks grow hot. I got out of bad and had a long battle with myself whether to join Mikhail in the shower or not. I decided and made my way into the bathroom as quietly as I could. His back was turned toward me as he was lathering up his body. I slowly opened up the shower door and stepped inside behind him.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you, love?" He asked, turning toward me. The shower is almost too small for the both of us, making it so his member pressed into my stomach.
"No, I'm so used to waking up early now that sleeping in until nine is a luxury," I say, reaching for my soap.
"Elise, it's almost noon," Mikhail said, looking down at me confused.
I stopped lathering my body and my jaw dropped, "No way! I had a meeting with a neighboring pack at ten!"
"Your Beta did come to wake you for it. I sent him away," he frowned, getting out of the shower.
"This is important though, Mikhail! I need more allies! It's not easy when you're a She-Wolf," I mutter, shampooing my hair.
"I will handle it, love," Mikhail calmly replied, walking into the bedroom.
"Do not go to that meeting, Mikhail!" I yell at him, probably a little too late.

"So you see, sir, my mate and I will be combining our packs becoming- ah, speak of the devil!" Mikhail pauses to stand up as I walk into the room.
"Did I hear you say we are combining our packs? I'm sorry, was I awake for this conversation?" I ask stomping my way up to the front of the long desk.
"Well, I just thought it would make sense. I am the biggest pack right now in Ireland. I would easily triple your numbers if we were to join together. Also Mr. Beckman here even offered us some of his land to accommodate for the new pack members. He feels safer knowing that I will be helping you run the pack," he replied, nonchalantly.
"That is not what this meeting was for. This meeting was to make a peace treaty-"
"Which is what I did. I made a peace treaty with them. They agreed to peace as long as I am helping you run the pack. An eighteen-year-old She-Wolf should not run a pack alone. She should find her mate and submit to him," Mikhail said using his Alpha voice.
"Your Alpha voice will not work on me, Mikhail. This is my pack. You may be my mate but this is my pack and you should have never assumed what I would think is best for them. You don't know these people like I do. You don't even know their name," I say showing off my Alpha voice.
He raises his hands up, "Fine, I need to be heading home any way. If that is what you wish, then I will call you when I land in Ireland."
"Wait, you're leaving? I thought you were looking for land here in America," I question, my heart sinking thinking of my mate being in a different country than me.
"I can't find any. I was hoping you would agree to blend our packs together, but I see now that you are too immature to think about the greater good," he turned to the other Alpha, "I am so sorry you had to see our little argument. I will still be assisting Elise with her pack from afar. Please take that into consideration before rejecting her peace treaty with you."
And with that he left. I slowly sank into the chair I was standing next to. Alpha Beckman proceeded with the meeting, I numbly went along with it. All the while I was trying to think of how I could have taken things differently. My mark had a small ache, just like my heart.

Mikhail
I got into the car that Elise's Beta got for me. I still can't remember his name, even though I met him this morning. My heart and wolf ached for their mate. I knew I should've handled it differently than just assuming that is what she would want to do. She is an Alpha, not just some submissive Omega.
I tortured myself in my thoughts the entire way to airport. I went up the front desk and told them I was here for my private plane. I walked to the terminal where my plane would be and boarded. I went to my seat on the plane and waited for it to take off. I put on my seat belt and leaned back, closing my eyes. I felt the plane lift up. Elise flashed behind my eyes. The way she blushed. Her long, beautiful blonde hair spread out behind her when we made love last night.
"How did the meetings go, honey," a woman's voice says. I groan before opening my eyes. I can't believe I forgot.
"Hey, Kate," I look up at the woman smiling above my head. "They went great. I didn't find any potential land though," I say, sitting up in the chair.
She frowns, "I'm sorry, hon. And I thought America had a ton of open land left." She leans in for a kiss, I quickly move my face to the side so she kisses my cheek. "What's wrong?"
"Kate, I-" I couldn't get the words out. I've been with this woman for seven years. How can I tell her that I found my mate? She sits on my lap and put her head on my shoulder. "Kate, I found my mate." I waited for a blow up, but it never came.
"I'm happy for you," her voice cracked as she spoke.
"Please don't cry. I will always love you but I need to think about Elise-"
"The She-Alpha is your mate?" She asked, jolting straight up, surprise clear on her face.
"Yes, she is my mate. Please, don't be angry with me," I pleaded with her.
"There is nothing to be mad about, Mikhail. Can I just make one request?" She questioned, getting quiet as she looked at her lap.
"What is it?"
"Make love to me."

Elise
I was walking to the pack house, my head hung low. I walked by all the children and parents walking around our fields. I almost regretted coming out for a walk. Everyone was happy and care free, while I was a walking zombie now. My mark was getting hot and burning. I thought it was just because it was new. I was wrong. A piercing pain erupted from it. A scream leaped out of my throat as I fell to the ground.
