Previously on PJD:

"Why are we-" I am cut off by Celeste backing up and sprinting off the train, almost seeming to fly off the train. She I'd immediately followed by Chase. All it takes for me is one nod from Annabeth and we jump, holding hands. We run a couple feet to keep our balance. I open my mouth to ask again but Chase cuts me off.

"Don't ask. Just follow," he says. He and Celeste start running again. I hear a small groan from Annabeth and we run. That's when I realize what we are running towards.

The fence.

Percy's POV

The fence towers over us as we arrive at its base. For some reason during the run I had a strange feeling. Almost like I was being lifted up into the air, had infinite energy. I almost never wanted to stop running. Then when I did it all came crashing onto me. I almost collapsed. I groan and sit down.

"Percy, what's wrong?" Annabeth asks. I just wave my hand dismissively.

"It's fine, it's his first time. He'll get used to it," Celeste says. Annabeth spins around to face her.

"What?" She demands. I scramble up, my energy returning. I wrap my arms around her and she sighs, relaxing.

"I'm fine Wise Girl," I mutter. She nods and I let go of her, grabbing her hand. Chase smiles.

"This is the fence," Chase says. Celeste snorts.

"No dip Sherlock," she laughs. Chase kisses her on my mouth for two seconds and she looks bewildered for a few moments.

"How to get Cel to shut up for a couple seconds of her life," Chase leans in towards up whispering. Celeste punches him hard on the back but he doesn't wince, he just grins.

"As I was saying, the fence is impossible to get past right?" Chase asks us. We nod, and he smiles.

He walks over only a couple feet away, before sprinting into the fence. Annabeth gasps, and my hand flies to my mouth. But...he disappears right through it. Celeste laughs.

"Cmon guys," she says. She runs through the fence as well, disappearing. I look at Annabeth.

"Percy I don't think this is a good idea. Something doesn't feel right..." she trials off. I shrug.

"They did it, why can't we?" I shrug. Then before she can protest I grab Annabeth's hand and we sprint right through the wall. I didn't realize I had squeezed my eyes shut until we got to the other side. When I open them I am greeted with the most beautiful sight other than Annabeth.

There are grassy hills that stretch for what seems like millions of miles. We can't see a building in sight. The sun shines brighter, the skies are bluer. There are many lakes stretching for miles, and very few trees. I am appalled.

"Like it?" Chase's voice asks behind me. I just nod, gaping.

"Every single other place that's outside the fence that we've been to is horrible. Worse than on the inside. This place seems to be the only place left that's beautiful," Celeste says. Annabeth turns around to face her.

"How did we get past the fence?" Annabeth asks.

"This section if the fence is an illusion. Fake. You can walk all along the outside but the rest, as I said we explored, is ruined by something. This is the only thing we've ever seen outside the fence," Celeste says, almost sadly.

"How did you discover this was possible?" I ask. Chase stares at his feet and Celeste looks anywhere but at us.

"Let's just say that our...families told us some things that we were never supposed to know," Chase says. Celeste is holding back a sob, and her eyes are tearing up. Chase gets close to her and grabs her hand, and massaging her shoulders with one hand.

"You don't have to explain, but did something happen-?" Annabeth asks but Celeste cuts her off.

"Our families died. They were from the outside. They were fighting for us. They were all divergent, along with a couple other families. We were the only survivors. Stupid Chaos killed them..." she mutters. Annabeth furrows her brows.

"Excuse me, Chaos?" She asks. Chase grits his teeth together.

"Chaos. The man who killed our families. The man who is still out there somewhere, trying to get revenge. On me, somewhat. But mostly on Celeste and..." he trails off, and mutters a curse.

"And who?" Annabeth asks. Chase groans and facepalms.

"And you, Percy. He's looking for you."

Well, they had their break...

Sorry babes :(

Love you
