"A watched pot never boils, my boy," John joked, and I rolled my eyes and flipped him off. He just chuckled and went to make coffee.
"Shut up, John," I said, and he laughed again.
"Jeez, Macca, you're really hung up on this girl, aren't you?" He asked, and I nodded groggily, "why are you so tired?" John added, and I covered my mouth when I yawned.
"I'm now that tired," I countered, and he took a sip of the coffee.
"Paul, have you been up all night by the phone?" He asked worriedly, and I nodded reluctantly.
"Go to sleep, Paul," he said, and I would've argued, but I was too tired. I trudged to my room, and got into the bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.

###Johns pov###
About an hour after Macca went to sleep, the phone rang. I put down the paper and walked to it, picking it up reluctantly. I was expecting it to be Eppy yelling at me for something.
"Ello?" I asked, and a shaky voice answered.
"Hi, is Paul there?" The voice asked, and I laughed. She was just as nervous as he was.
"He's asleep right now. Who might this be?" I asked, though I already knew because he couldn't stop talking about her.
"It's Lizzie, can you just tell him that I called?" She asked, and I began to take a note on the pad on the fridge. I wrote down her number, and her name.
"Are you the pretty bird he's been on about?" I asked, just to toy with her a bit. I could imagine her messing with the phone cord and blushing.
"He's been on about me?" She asked shyly, and I smiled. She seemed genuinely nice.
"That he has," I said coyly, and I could hear her smile through the phone.
"Well goodbye then," she said, and I wished her farewell. That Paul sure is in over his head.
