Every story needs a lead character, or at least a character you follow. And with my story, that lead is Manx, the endearingly antisocial withyr sprite with shadow powers. I'll show you some early designs and then we'll see how she has grown and changed both in the pictures and in the story.
First ever drawing of Manx-
This picture below is the first drawing I ever did of Tamira Jade, also known as Manx. The day I conceived the character, she was a lot more puckish and a trickster, but within writing the first chapter of the first book I had her in, she became the traumatized antisocial and snappy girl you know today. Her story started when she was released from the dungeon, and she had little knowledge of the outside world she lived in. This is why you'll see a drastic difference from here to the next few pictures. And here is another picture of Manx I did. Back when I drew this was before I adapted to my very manga-ish style I use today and I was still learning how she looked.
Here's one of Manx in more earth-like clothes from when I was just developing my current style.
This one below is a water color I did from not long after she was stung by the juggernaut scorpion and is beginning to feel its effects.
