I just got a new sketchbook and I am probably filling it up as you read this, so here is even more art!
I have a strange tradition of putting stickers on the cover of my sketchbook, and in a very particular way. Each sticker MUST lead the viewer's eye around the cover to the other stickers and the colors and characters and even lines in each sticker MUST work in harmony to make the cover a work of art. And there must be approximately the same distance between all the stickers. If any sticker is just a micrometer out of place it annoys the heck out of me every time I look at it, so the stickers are never out of place. And if I am putting stickers on anything the same thing goes. For letters I put one or two strategically placed stickers in the corners. Anyhow, I thought since I just got a new sketchbook I'd show you the cover...
This thing is a reaper moth. Its about 20ft tall and I'm planning on having it attempt to feed my main characters to its babies. It uses a flash of light to stun its prey and the flash is so bright and disorienting that it temporarily paralyzes its victims. The grubs are about as big around as your head. I know, I'm extremely cruel to my characters.
Here's the first drawing I did in my new sketchbook. I finally got my body kun and body chan drawing figures in the mail and they helped me draw this pose!
