Jungkook POV
"Mom, Dad, come on we are almost there..."
"Wait for us Kookie". Mom shouted as they struggled to trek the trail to Bangtan's Peak. I could clearly see the deep ravine a feet away from me.
As I continued walking. "Jungkook!" I turned around and saw my parents fell from the edge.
I ran towards them, stretching my arms trying to hold on to their hands, but I was too late.
"Dad! Mom! Dad! Mom!"
I shouted as loud as I can. I kept on wailing, kneeling at the edge until I ran out of tears. Darkness engulfed around me. Then I heard his voice. "Jungkook."
When I turned around, I saw Tae's familiar figure. But I couldn't see his face.
To my surprise, he kicked me so hard, that I fell off the edge of the cliff, but I was able to hang on to a branch.
"Help!"
I am pleading for my life. I looked at his handsome face and his eyes were burning like fire. I was so scared that my hands slipped and I fell down to the bottom and shouted.
"Taehyung!" "Taehyung!"
Thank God it is only a dream.
I woke up in the night train to Seoul.
More than a month has passed since I meet Taehyung again in our town. This should have been the ride where I go to the Seoul to enroll in the university and be the person my parents wants me to be. This should been the start of my blissful life with Taehyung.
But the opposite happened.
This is the train ride of no return. In a matter of weeks, I lost our property, our house, my dreams and my parents. I am now a poor and homeless orphan.
Since the day that Taehyung's mom was in our house, my parents tirelessly visited banks and lending agencies for loan requests. They have been to different towns even as far as Busan, but all their requests got denied.
Then, the unimaginable happened, dad and mom approached the mafia boss Song Kang-Ho to ask for money. He is actually their high school classmate. He gladly agreed, he didn't even ask for interest since it was my mom who helped him pass his tests before. He was about the give them the cash but a mysterious person called his cellphone and after that call, Mr. Song immediately changed his mind and ask my parents to leave at once.
Two days before the agreed deadline, my dad approached me in my room and talked to me about using their savings, which they intend to use originally for my college tuition and law school. Without batting an eyelash, I agreed to him. I told him not to worry and that I will just be work my way to pay for college. When I got out of my room, I saw my eomma sobbing in the living room. It must have been hard for them to make that decision.
Taehyung's mom asked my parents to pay her in cash and for them to meet her in Changwon. I found this quite bizarre, I mean she could have just asked them to deposit the amount to her bank account or in whatever means that doesn't require my parents to bring a lot of cash. But my parents, did not mind and went along with what she wants.
