32 - Back in Gyeongsang

Jungkook POV

Changwon is the capital city of our province, South Gyeongsang, it is a lovely city with a picturesque landscape, but despite of all its beauty, this city brings only painful memories. This is where my parents were murdered by an unknown assailant. That incident changed my life drastically. I am now here in this city as a Kpop idol to perform at their annual Gyeongsang Music Festival. 

But although my fortunes have turned already upside down, but I would still rather have a simple life with my parents in our farm than being where I am right now, a celebrity.

By the way, we had our first and only win at The Show. It was our last promotion. Everyone especially our maknaes, Chan and Jihoon wailed when we got our first win. I am aware of their hardwork and sacrifices. Taeyong and Yugyeum were training since they were 12.

When we went out to the stage to perform at the Gyeongsang Music Festival, I was so overwhelmed with how big the stadium is. It is our first time to perform in a big venue like this. Fans were cheering widely! Shouting our fan chants! I see our names in big banners! I see people raising our glowsticks! It dawned on me that I am really famous. I never felt this way when I won the Baeksang or performing in music shows. Oh my God! I am famous! I am famous!

So we performed our new song, "Open It", and everything went smoothly as we rehearsed. Taeyong was great in his backflips, while thank God, my voice didn't crack up when I was hitting the high notes.

After we performed, we went back to dressing room, Jimin was waiting for us.

"Hey hyung!"

All of our members greeted Jimin. "Your performance was the best."

"Your performance earlier was great too hyung."

Jimin then signaled me to go outside. I followed him and we found a spot where we could talk privately. "Have you talked to Tae already?"

"No hyung, during rehearsals, we were so busy. I went to his dressing room one time, but they went out at that time. Probably, I will approach him after the show."

Jimin nodded. "Ok Kookie, if you need me to be with you, you can always tell me."

"Don't worry hyung, it might get worse if you are with me. I can face him alone."

Jimin laughed at my answer. "You really think so? I won't punch him. I can be civilized even if an article was published that say that you got sexual favors from Yoongi and that you were an exotic dancer."

"I was already expecting a counter attack from them hyung, and I am just happy that our fans seem unaffected by the rumors."

Jimin, then looked serious, "Kookie, there is something I have been wanting to tell you...."

A production staff approached us, "Sir, we need you all on stage in ten minutes."

"Let us talk about it next time hyung..."
