(A/N-just a lil fluff while I try to come up with a decent idea)

She sat up, her head thrashing against her skull, knocking a few dozen brain cells around in her head.

As soon as he heard the sheets rustle, Usnavi popped his head round the door.

"Morning," he smiled, dancing in with a tray in one hand. He set it gently on the bedside table and handed her a glass of water. "How's the hangover?"

"Coffee, I need coffee," she said, pouting and not taking the glass from him.

"Not this early, chica, water and painkillers." He insisted. "Its best for you."

Vanessa rolled her eyes and took it from him, only sipping a little of the water. "What happened last night?" She said, sticking the edge of her tongue in the water like an animal.

"The usual. You got hammered. Fairly sure you'd had a few dozen glasses even before 10." She shrugged at him and set the glass down, taking the painkillers from him and swallowing them effortlessly.

"Did you drink?" She said, already knowing the answer. Usnavi shook his head as his eyes met hers. "'Snavi, you never drink, you ought to. Ya know, enjoy yourself, have some fun!" He smiled.

"I don't need to. I want to be with you, and look after you. I don't want to forget a single second of it by the time I've woken up."

She sighed into his chest as his arm snaked around her. "You say that every time."

"And it's still true, mi amor, always will be." He kissed her hair. "Now, sleep off that hangover, your going to need it. Big day tomorrow." Usnavi grinned happily.

She frowned at him briefly before remembering a certain someone's return from college...
