The seven seas 2 (A Will Turner fanfic)

The meeting

"My lady" Barbossa and Shansa bowed their head in respect as Athena entered the room. There was fear and confusion in their eyes and as Athena took her seat, Cutler closed the door behind.

"Speak" Athena looked at barbossa.

"My lady, I don't know how to say this to you but I'm afraid to say that Salazar is on the hunt for the trident" barbossa said.

"The trident" Will and cutler both said in horror. Athena didn't say a word, she seemed less bordered by the news.

"My lady, the trident is the most powerful weapon on the sea. It belongs to Poseidon the god of the sea" Shansa looked at Athena.

"Yes, it does I know that it's father's" Athena mumbled.

"You can't let Salazar have it" barbossa looked at Athena.

"Why not? He's my half brother what is mine is his" Athena said. The four of them shook their head in disbelief, how can Athena be so blind? If Salazar gets hold of the trident he gets hold of the sea and the fate of the sea will be doomed. How can't she not see that? Was the impact of her memory loss that huge.

"My lady, you don't understand this the trident mustn't be claimed by anyone. It must always belong to the gods" Shansa said.

"You mean? My father can have it but not my brother" Athena looked at Shansa.

"No, it's not what I meant my lady the trident should not be passed on or claimed by anyone else rather than Poseidon" Shansa looked at Athena.

"I know you guys don't trust Salazar but he's not what you think he is" Athena said. No one in the room trusted Salazar and they knew somewhere in his heart there was greed and evil which Athena cannot see but they didn't know how to even reason with her.

"My lady, trust me on this the trident must not be claimed by anyone else besides you" Will said as he came forward.

"If I can claim the trident, why can't Salazar?" Athena looked at Will.

"Because you are the pure blood of Cecilia and Poseidon and Salazar isn't" Will kneeled down besides Athena.

"But Will, I've to go back to Olympus I can't stay here forever the sea needs a ruler" Athena exhaled.

"The sea needs you my lady not Salazar" Cutler said.

"We all need you my lady, you were the one who looked after us for all these years" barbossa said as he came forward.

Athena then looked at barbossa. He looked old and weary now, it was decades back when she first met him when he was a young boy and not a pirate and now here he was as one among the nine and now the three. Who even defeated black beard, one of the most feared pirate in the seven sea. "I see you have come so far barbossa, from a boy to now a grandfather" Athena smiled looking at him.

"How do you know my lady?" Barbossa asked in confusion.

"I know because I saw in you barbossa, the daughter you had she's now a mother" Athena said slowly.

"Are you a father?" Will, Shansa and cutler looked at barbossa in shock. Barbossa didn't answer them instead he kneeled beside Athena and asked with tears in his eyes "is she well?"

"She's well barbossa, she has married and have given birth to a beautiful daughter" Athena smiled.

"That's good news" barbossa said as tears of joy filled his eyes. Athena slowly rose her hand and kept it on barbossa's head and then he saw, his beautiful daughter whom he left at the orphanage was now a lady and married and has given birth to a daughter he was so happy his heart knew no bound. Athena slowly moved her hand away from him and said "I guess she should know now who her father is, go now Barbossa and tell her you are her father before it's too late"

Barbossa nodded his head as he gently hold Athena's hand and kissed it, as he left the room without saying another word to anyone.

"What just happened?" Jack questioned as he walked in.

"Just found out, Barbossa was a father and now a grandfather as well" Cutler responded.

"That's a news isn't it" jack chuckled as he took a seat.

"I think, it's time for dinner" Athena said as she stood up.

"But my lady, the conversation is not over" Shansa said.

"Yes, we need to know your decision my lady" cutler spoke softly.

"I need time" Athena said as she walked away.

"This is not good" Shansa said.

"What shall we do?" Will asked.

"I think you know, what you should do" Shansa looked at him.

Had a very tragic day but ended up writing this...cos life is too short to be in tragedy 😂
