"You romantic!" Shrieked Rikki as she threw a pillow at me, laughing loudly.
I ducked and grinned at her. A warm glow had spread through me as I told them about the best night of my life, but I had stopped at that point in the past. We were in too good a mood to ruin it now.
"I want a cute English boyfriend," moaned Emily who was lying on the other side of me as she looked longingly out of the window at the purple night sky outside.
"Oh you could so easily get an American boyfriend though," scoffed Rikki, "what's-his-name is all over you."
I looked questioningly at Emily and she blushed furiously.
"Nate? As if." She said, crossing her slim arms over her chest.
"Have you seen the way he looks at you?! He's obsessed baby."
"Who is he?" I asked, looking between them.
"Emily's future husband," giggled Riki before she could answer, "he goes to the school slightly further into town but is an absolute cutie. And totally in love with Em."
"Is not!" She retorted, but a small smile was creeping onto her face.
"Just you wait," Rikki said slyly to me, "you'll meet him at Jay's and you'll see exactly what I mean."
She winked as Emily rolled her eyes.
"Jay's...?" I asked again.
"Oh shit," laughed Rikki, "completely forgot to tell you!"
"Jay's having his annual party," explained Emily.
"And everyone will be there."
"I actually think he lives just across from you."
"With the most amazing pool."
"It's tomorrow night."
"Pretty sure it's jungle themed?"
"Apparently it's bigger than ever this year."
"Ready to party-"
"Guys!" I laughed, breaking them up. Rikki was still in the middle of saying 'party', her hands dropping to her sides as she stopped dancing. "Tomorrow night?! You could've told me about this earlier!" A note of panic was caught in my voice.
"We'll get you sorted honey," Rikki said calmly, patting my arm, "we can go shopping tomorrow."
"You're going to look sooo hot," Emily added, her voice full of jealousy.
"Oh please."
"Seriously!" Said Rikki, "Jay won't even know who Sidney is with you there."
I looked away from them both, half wishing I'd never mentioned on my first day that I thought he looked cute as they hadn't shut up about it since. He was dating someone, and didn't even know my name.
