Chapter 20

Everything had gone wrong after those few perfect moments. Amelia knew that Will would eventually die due to the illness. But, she had still hoped that it somehow wouldn't happen. Will had stopped breathing not long after they had made love. he had started to struggle with the breathing, and Am had tried to calm him down as best she could, to no avail. 

she was currently sat in the hospital waiting room, her head on Issac's shoulder as they waited on the Nurse to call them in to see Will for probably the last time. Amelia was running through everything that had happened since she met Issac and Will. she didn't want to imagine her life without Will, as there would be a hole in her heart that no-one could fill without him there. He was the first boy she had loved, and nobody would ever compare to him. Amelia lifted her head to see the Nurse entering the room once again, gesturing for Amelia and Issac to follow her. She took a deep breath before following the nurse into the room, trying to hold in her tears as she saw Will. 

"Hey Issac, Am. My two favourite people" Will said as they both entered the room. Am chocked out a laugh before going to kneel by Will's bed. she gently moved his hair out of his eyes, before lacing her hand into his. "Issac, do you, do you think you can look after Amelia for me? I know i'm not going to make it this time" he whispered, and Amelia noticed for the first time that Will had tears streaming down his face. "Yeah. I promise I'll look after her, dude. she'll look after me too." Issac said, who also had tears leaking out his eyes. "I'll leave you two alone for a few minutes. I guess you deserve to be together one last time." Issac said. Amelia smiled at him gratefully before he left the room, shutting the door behind him. 

"Will, I love you. i'm never going to stop loving you" she said, now crying as-well. he pulled Amelia onto the bed with him, struggling, even more, to breathe then he had before. Will smiled at Amelia, before speaking his last words before the heart monitor went dead. "I love you too. always."  Amelia cried as Will died in her arms, she called for Issac, who came rushing back into the room, calling for a nurse. It was too late. Will was gone, and nothing would ever be the same again.
