Propose (JJ)

You were standing in line at a food cart. A pretty blonde woman got into line behind you and you were trying to work up the nerve to say something when you felt her tap on your shoulder. 

"Hi, I'm JJ. My ex is walking this way with his new girlfriend. Could you maybe propose to me in front of him?" She asked you.

You nodded and slipped your mother's old wedding ring off of the chain around your neck and knelt to the ground.

"JJ, I know we haven't been together very long but you honestly make me the happiest person alive. You're so kind and caring and smart and beautiful and you are the kind of person that everyone needs in their life. Basically I'm trying to say that I love you. Will you make me the happiest woman alive and say yes to marrying me?" You asked.

She nodded, tears gathering in her eyes as you stood and slipped the ring on her finger. Everyone around you cheered as you lifted her off the ground and spun her around, hugging her. When you sat her back down, she pulled you in for a kiss and you felt fireworks go off. You pulled away and she had a dopey little smile on her face. You grabbed her hand and the two of you started to walk off when you heard a man call her name.

"JJ!" He said.

"Will! How are you?" She asked, holding onto your hand tighter. 

"I'm good. So who exactly are you?" He replied, looking at you.

"I'm Y/N." You offered your hand to him.

"Will. So are you really marrying this girl?" He ignored your hand and turned his attention back to JJ.

"Yes, I am." She assured him.

"You could always come back to me." He moved closer to her.

"Thank you for the offer, Will but I am very happy with Y/N. It was nice seeing you." She told him and then pulled you away from him.

"He seems like an asshole." You whispered to her.

"He most definitely is." She laughed.

"So how about you go out on a date with me? I mean, if we're getting married we should probably get to know each other." You joked.

"I would like that." She smiled.

You gave her your phone and let her put her number into it so you could call her later and get directions to her house.

"I'll see you tonight." You told her before turning to walk to your car.

"Y/N, wait." She said.

You turned around to look at her and felt soft lips against your own and you couldn't help but smile. 

"What was that for?" You asked.

"I needed to feel those fireworks, one more time." She said.

"I have a feeling that they'll be coming up again tonight." You winked.

She rolled her eyes at smiled at you before telling you bye. You walked to your car, thankful that you just happened to be the girl in front of JJ when Will walked by, because you would be damned if you ever let that girl go.
