Two Weeks Later
It was the day of the formal. Meira had dyed her hair a dark red, and dressed nicely. She had a short light blue dress on, silver heels and jewelry, and her hair was in a nice updo. Her and her father were sitting at the table, drinking coffee. They were waiting for Ray to come pick her up.
"I like Ray." Her father said. Meira looked up at him and smiled. "He's a nice boy, Meira. I don't know why you aren't dating him." He rose a brow. Meira sighed.
"I..." She looked down at her arms, which now had scars from her suicide attempt. "He is a nice guy, but I don't love him like that. He's more of a brother figure towards me, y'know?" She looked back at her father, her hazel eyes glistening. He just nodded. Meira heard a knock on the door and stood. She walked to the door, her heels clicking with each step. She opened it and smiled at Ray. His eyes widened.
"Damn, Mei! You look hot!" He laughed, causing Meira to giggle.
"I'm leaving, pa! Love you!" She yelled and walked out with Ray. It didn't take long to get to the school. They walked in, gave the worker their tickets, and they were let into the gymnasium. She held onto his arm the whole time as kids glanced at them. Because of Frank, and now Gerard, everyone thought that she lost her virginity to him. She sighed and looked around the gym. Her eyes landed on Gerard and Lindsey. They were dancing, both had smiles and Gerard was resting his forehead on hers. They looked so in love. Meira looked down, trembling slightly.
"I'm going to get a drink." She whispered and pulled away from Ray. She walked into the cafeteria and got a soda. She sat on a table, taking a sip. Frank walked over.
"Hey... Can I apologize?" He asked, fiddling with his fingers. Meira looked at him and sighed. Frank took her hands. "I'm really sorry, Meira. I was shitty towards you and... I understand how you feel. Gerard was basically my only friend, and he hates me now."
"Fine." Meira sighed. Frank smiled, grabbing her waist and lifting her off the table,
setting her on the floor."Why aren't you out there having fun?" He asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Meira bit her lip. Ray walked over and took her hand.
"Let's go dance." He smiled, pulling her away from Frank. Once they got into the gym, they started dancing together. Their bodies were pressed together. Ray's arms were around Meira's waist, holding her and her arms were around his neck, her head on his chest. She kept glancing at Gerard and Lindsey. She still loved him. It was obvious.
Meira felt herself tear up as she pulled away from Ray. "I'm having my dad pick me up. I just- I can't be here. I'm sorry." She kissed his cheek and walked out of the gym. Gerard saw and his eyes widened. He gave Lindsey a quick kiss. "I'm sorry, Lind-"
"Go to her." She looked up at him, a sad smile on her lips. "I know. You're meant to be. Go." She whispered. Gerard nodded and rushed out. He walked outside and saw Meira on a bench, shaking.
"Meira it's raining. Come inside." He walked over. She shook her head, on the phone with her father. She hung up.
"He's not fucking home tonight. Of course." She groaned, holding her head. "I'm not going inside. Go back to Lindsey."
"We just broke up, Meira. Come on." He grabbed her wrist, forcing her up. She let out a squeak.
"Gee! I said no!"She tried pulling away, but Gerard pulled her trembling frame into a tight hug.
"I'm not letting you go this time, boo." He mumbled into her hair. Meira froze for a second, then clung to him, breathing in the scent of his cologne.
"Don't ever leave me again, Gerard Arthur Way. Do you understand?" She looked up at him. He nodded and kissed her head.
"Let's go inside." He placed his hand on the small of her back, leading her inside. They were greeted by Frank, who was grinning.
"You guys made up?" He asked. Meira blushed and nodded, molding herself into Gerard's side. He laughed, wrapping his arm around her.
"You guys, too?" He asked. Frank nodded.
"Ray's still being cautious with me, but yeah." He smiled. Gerard led Meira into the cafeteria. He got them drinks and leaned on the counter as trey waited.
Meira smiled tiredly, patting his butt. "This is mine." She squeezed. Gerard chuckled and rolled his eyes. He turned to her, picking her up.
"And this is mine." He kissed her. Meira giggled and returned the kiss, clinging to him. He leaned down and kissed her neck, squeezing her ass. Meira's eyes widened. She leaned into his ear.
"Come over tonight and we can have some fun... My father isn't home." He leaned back and raised his eyebrows. She giggled and placed her head in the crook of his neck.
She kissed and sucked lightly where his sweet spot was. He growled, setting her lightly on the table.
"When is this stupid thing over?" He asked her, resting his hands on her hips. She smiled holding her phone in her hand. She turned it on seeing the time and looked back to him.
"Just a couple more minutes." She said leaning back, using her hands for support so she didn't fall on her back.
"Perfect." He said, putting his head in her neck and kissing up to her ear. "God I can't wait to get you home."
She giggled and pushed at his chest. As Meira was getting off the table the light flickered on, washing the gymnasium with lights.
Both her and Gerard grabbed their things quickly before rushing to his car and climbing in. They drove to her house quickly, his hand resting on her thigh massaging softly.
