It was a couple hours until her dad and Gia had left. Meira was all alone and knew what she was going to do.
She got on her feet, walking into her bathroom, she hadn't had any more loose razor blades, she had thrown them out when she had vowed to stop cutting.
Meira walked to the cabinet in her bathroom, grabbing a razor that she had used for shaving. She set the head of it against the count and forced her hand down on to it with all of her strength.
The razor broke easily, allowing her to take one of the sharp blades into her hands. She sat down carefully on the floor, bringing the razor to her wrist. She pushed down carefully, an even strip across her wrist. She heard her phone ring loudly. It could have been Ray, Frank even.
Meira sighed, a tear slowly sliding down her cheek. It dropped onto her wrist, dragging more blood down her arm. Her phone continued to ring, giving her the urge to stand and turn the volume fully off.
After 5 more minutes of the continuous annoying ringing Meira stood. She ran and grabbed her phone, shutting the volume fully off before going back to the bathroom.
Each time she made a cut she pushed the blade down harder. The cuts got deeper, spilling more and more blood. Her shirt and pants had been soaked in the mixture of her own blood and tears.
As she was making the last cut and putting her arm down, resting in on her leg, the front door burst open. Not knowing who it was, or who it could be, Meira crawled farther into the bathroom, shutting the door silently.
She heard the footsteps rushing around the house and a sharp pounding on her wall. Whoever it was was looking for sonething. As the steps had stopped and the house had become silent she thought maybe they had left.
She then heard the bathroom door handle begin to jiggle. The door was slowly pushed open. Gerard was standing in the doorway, his black greasy hair everyehere and a worried expression plastered on his face.
"What are you doing?" He asked, grabbing her wrist and bandages. "Why didn't you answer your phone?" He tightly wrapped them, dragging out if the bathroom and into his car. "I'm taking you to the hospital."
"No Gerard. I don't want to go." Meira said, pulling back and beginning to take off the bandaging. Gerard pulled her forward forcing her into the car before kicking it and closing the door as he sprinted to the other side.
"You're going. I don't care what you want." Gerard said as he fixed the bandages. He started the car speeding down the road and towards the hospital. His knuckles were white on the steering wheel, sweat was dropping from his face. "What the hell were you thinking?" He asked, slamming his hand against the wheel.
She shrunk back as they reached the entrance. He pulled her out and forced her into the building.
"I honestly can't believe you." He said as they reached the front desk.
"Gerard." Meira said quietly. He shot her a glare, telling her that she needs to shut up. "I'm sorry." He sighed heavily and turned to her.
His hands were on her shoulder and he began speaking, but she couldn't hear it. His mouth was moving but the speech was delayed, coming to her only after he had said it.
She furrowed her eyebrows as her vision began to get blurry and spotted. Gerard had looked confused as she began to sway back and forth.
She felt herself fall, but she couldn't see anything anymore, her vision was completely gone. Her feeling was slowly leaving. Her conscious state was fleeting, she couldn't stop it.
She felt herself being lied down on something. After she was lied down, all feeling left. She had been unconscious as she was rushed to the emergency room.
